Our autumns here in Perth are my favourite season. Summer's great too but it's not my favourite because of some of the extremely hot days we get (100F and up). I used to love hot days, not so much anymore. Saps my energy too much and I hate not having energy to do stuff and keep busy.
Autumn here doesn't mean beautiful leaf colour unfortunately as we don't have many of those trees. It's just that it's still got great weather - lots of sunny days that are warm to very warm, but none of the extremely hot days.
It used to Spring for me but I've come to like Summer much more. There are more places open and fun things to do during the summer, around here summers aren't too hot which is nice, I don't take summer classes, which is nice too. During the summer many of my friends come home from colleges far away, I get to go hiking and camping and can take walks whenever I like. Places to go, things and people to see.
I used to hate summer the most, but over the years I've come to love it the most. I'm not a fan of the hot weather or the rain we've been getting here the past few summers, but I still love summer.
My faves in order are as they go: Autumn, Winter, Spring & Summer... You can always put on more clothes for comfort... But you can be stripped to the skin and still be hot and sweaty... Love the crisp fall nights and the changing of the leaves... Too, I think if it's going to be cold, give me snow...Yippee...Took my Shire stallion for a run through the snow a few weeks back. What a blast... The only thing I detest when the snow melts is MUD SEASON...UGH!!!
I'm envious of you next door in super hot Arizona as i love those 115 temperatures where your at
But remember 6/3 - Not all of Arizona, or New Mexico is the "Super hot" 115-degree temperatures. You can be in 115 degrees in Phoenix in July, then drive 2 hours north of Phoenix to Flagstaff, and the surrounding San Francisco Peaks to the west, and you'll be in the colder 40 degree weather of the Snow Bowl ski resort, where the elevation is between 9500, to 11,500 feet. In the summer, it's a nice get-away.
I love the 4 or 5 months of our winter. Summer is hotter than H E double hockey sticks.
