Morning all. Helps to be in the UK for this thread!

We cook every night. Very occasionally we'll get a Chinese takeaway.

I'll skip the High School question- mine was founded in 1550 so Mascots weren't really the thing.

I had a house alarm system but had it removed after too many false alarms. The current cars are fine.

Not been to a Mardi Gras celebration- don't like crowds, but used to visit New Orleans when I lived in Texas. Loved the history and architecture there.

Of course this was 8 pm and I saw a few lights in the houses across the street go on

Today's Question(s):

How many nights a week do you cook ?
Define "cook". Does making a cheese sandwich count as cooking? If so then I cook a couple nights a week.

What do you do the other nights ?
I mostly eat take out food. Will either eat it in the car or bring back to the hotel.

Bonus Question:

What were your High School colors ?
After being out of school 35 years my mind is a little fuzzy on this one. I know one of the colors is Gold. The other is either Blue or Purple.
What was your High School Mascot ?
A Wolf

Extra Credit Question:

Do you have an alarm system in your home ?
Don't need one. I have a security moose that patrols the area.

How about your car ?
The Jeep won't tell me if it has a security system.

Have you ever "oops" accidentally set either off ? Nope

Let's see now...Karla knows I am always out of town. Now is asking about my security systems. Hmmmmmm.

Just for Fun:

Good morning!

Today's Question(s):

How many nights a week do you cook ? I would say 6, on average. Hubby always cooks at least once during the week-end (but most of the time he will fix lunch at the week-end)

Bonus Question:

What were your High School colors ? No colors in French schools.
What was your High School Mascot ? See above...

Extra Credit Question:

Do you have an alarm system in your home ? No
How about your car ? Yep
Have you ever "oops" accidentally set either off ? My car's alarm, a couple of days after I bought it. I didn't know there was this type of alarm in it, the guy who sold it to me just forgot to tell me about this "detail"!

Just for Fun:

Have any of our QOTD family ever been to a Mardi Gras celebration ? School Mardi Gras celebrations - that's originally a very old French tradition (hence its name!).

French blah-blah: In our equivalent of pre-school/kindergarten (which is a regular school you attend when you're between 3 and 6 years old), it's always celebrated. Kids are in disguise, and moms who can be there volunteer and prepare pancakes and other good things while the kids play. Mom always came and made "oreillettes", a yummy kind of donut.
Then you go to primary school, and you never really celebrate Mardi Gras again, except in your parents' kitchen ... but some people (usually young adults) will organize Mardi Gras parties.

Anyone celebrated in New Orleans ? No

Today is:
National Almond Day
Pancake day
Nylon Day
Do a Grouch a Favor Day
Fat Tuesday(Mardi gras)

Have a nice day!
