Talking Strange Habits, do you catch yourself squeezing it to get the last drop?

Something I found very comical the last several times I have stopped to fuel my car. Watching as people filled up there tanks in very cold weather in there shirts or light jackets they stand there shivering squeezing the nozzle to get that last drop .

I didn't realize I had that habit until I seen other people doing it and there I was

How about you?

Absolutely. When I get a full tank of gas, I want a FULL TANK!

I do too, and I will tap the gas nozzle after I stop filling to get that last drop.

With my Jeep once the nozzle clicks off the gas tank is full. The first time I tried to squeeze a little extra in, I got maybe a tenth of a gallon before it spit back at me. I rarely let my gas get below a third of a tank. So that extra tenth of a gallon does not mean much.

I've had that same experience and then the next time I pumped an extra gallon and a half in the tank. Always looking and listening to get soaked again with spewing gas but been lucky so far

It shuts off, it's out and I'm back in the car. I figure there's a 50/50 chance that gas will be $.01 a gal less next time.

Sometimes I just have that same mood where it shuts off and I quit and continue on with my day.

I just go between 20 and 30 dollars, depending on how expensive it is, how cold it and what my plans are.

When the nozzles clicks off, I don't try to get anymore in the tank. I did that once and ended up having to clean up the spillage down the side of my car, my shoe, and the ground. Once burned, twice shy. All I do now is tap the nozzle to make sure it doesn't drip petrol on the way back to the pump.
