Good Sunday everyone! Today is Sunday, March 14, 2010. Hope you all are having a great day thus far! I have been sick for the past few days, which is why I haven't been online very much. The flu/virus/illness is going around, and it ain't fun! I would advise everyone to stay clean and wash your hands often or use a hand sanitizer. OK, so now that Dr. Suncoast Guy is finished yapping, let's move on...

Today's Questions:
We have yet another fairy flying around today... The “Dining Out Fairy”... and she is stopping by to take you out to eat!

Are you going out for breakfast, lunch, or dinner?

What restaurant are you going to go to?

Bonus Question:

What is your favorite brand of potato chip ?

Lays ?
Ruffles ?
Dorito's ?
Pringles ?
Munchos ?
Store Brand ?
Other ?

Extra Credit Question:
In honor of “International Ask A Question Day”...

What is a question that you have wanted to ask somebody before, but didn't?

Yes or No Question (a.k.a. The Easy Question! ):

Do you have a battery tester in your home?

Just for Fun:

When was the last time you had an eye exam?

Nice job with the questions, Suncoast Guy! And I'm glad that you're feeling better at last. Tell us, are you planning to get a flu shot next year now??

Today's Questions:
We have yet another fairy flying around today... The “Dining Out Fairy”... and she is stopping by to take you out to eat!

Are you going out for breakfast, lunch, or dinner?

Hmm, well, if the fairy is paying, let's go out on the town for dinner.

What restaurant are you going to go to?

Gee, that depends on whether or not Mehitabel the Free Airfare Fairy is helping her cousin the Dining Out Fairy on this venture. If we can go out for dinner anywhere, I'd probably pick one of the great restaurants out in San Francisco. If we're staying local, I'd go with Quivey's Grove.

Bonus Question:

What is your favorite brand of potato chip?

Lays?
Ruffles?
Dorito's?
Pringles?
Munchos?
Store Brand?
Other?

You know, I honestly don't recall the last time I even ate a potato chip, let alone actually bought a bag. I guess I'd have to answer "None of the above."

Extra Credit Question:
In honor of “International Ask A Question Day”...

What is a question that you have wanted to ask somebody before, but didn't?

I was recently hiring to fill an opening in the department I supervise, and I had an applicant who sent in her resume with the following sentence (this is verbatim): "You need a candidate with a strong detail to attention, and I am uniquely suited in that regard."

I actually wound up interviewing her, since she did have some specific experience that I was looking for, and I just desperately wanted to ask her if she included the spoonerism in her letter on purpose to catch the attention of the reader. I resisted the urge, though, because I didn't want to offend her if it was not intentional.

But I can honestly say that I laughed louder and longer when I read her cover letter than I ever have in all the times that I've waded through the slush pile of resumes!

Yes or No Question (a.k.a. The Easy Question!):

Do you have a battery tester in your home?

I'm not sure. The spouse might have one in the mess he calls a worktable in the basement, but it would probably take him half a day to find it.

Just for Fun:

When was the last time you had an eye exam?

I had one last August, but I'm starting to have some issues with the current pair of glasses. I'm trying to decide if I want to try to fit another eye exam in before our busy season starts up again next month, or if I should just wait until things calm down again in late summer.

I am glad this showed up early. I have a 6:40 flight Sunday morning to Kansas City. Then I have a 2 hour drive after that. I see me finding a rest stop along the way for a snooze.

Today's Questions:
We have yet another fairy flying around today... The “Dining Out Fairy”... and she is stopping by to take you out to eat!

Are you going out for breakfast, lunch, or dinner?

What restaurant are you going to go to?
If they are still in business it would be the Rocky Mountain Pasta Company in Bozeman, MT. Have not been there in 30 years.

Bonus Question:

What is your favorite brand of potato chip ?

Lays ? In Rota Spain I actually found some prosciutto ham flavored Lays Potato chips
Ruffles ? Hard to beat a good Ruffles
Dorito's ?
Pringles ?
Munchos ?
Store Brand ?
Other ?

Extra Credit Question:
In honor of “International Ask A Question Day”...

What is a question that you have wanted to ask somebody before, but didn't?
There have been many, many, many questions I have wanted to ask but didn't. Usually if I backed off it is because I was just not in a combative mood at the time. There have been several times I have wanted to ask a co-worker if her mom had any kids that lived.

Yes or No Question (a.k.a. The Easy Question! ):

Do you have a battery tester in your home?
I have one that looks a lot like a flashlight. Actually it is a flashlight. If I turn it on and the light is bright then the batteries are still good.

Just for Fun:

When was the last time you had an eye exam?
The closest thing to an eye exam over the past couple of years is looking in the vision testing machine at DMV when renewing my drivers license.

Ruffles ?
Dorito's ?
Pringles ?
Munchos ?

Other ? I do like to eat Utz Sourdough Extra Dark Sourdough pretzels!

Extra Credit Question:
In honor of “International Ask A Question Day”...

What is a question that you have wanted to ask somebody before, but didn't?
I don't know if it's because I'm tired or not, but I have to ask myself: "What do I want to ask someone"?

Yes or No Question (a.k.a. The Easy Question! ):

Do you have a battery tester in your home?
No

Just for Fun:

When was the last time you had an eye exam?

"Open Dictionary" Word from Merriam-Webster:
combat parking (noun) : Backing into a parking space for easy exit.
