Yeah, you're right about the newletters. By the way, thank you for voicing your view tactfully. I wish all threads remained cordial. Sometimes you feel like if you type a post, there will be someone who is sarcastically rude about something you've said or sometimes attacks are made. I know this is just a forum and we shouldn't take rude comments seriously, but it is nice to be able to express our views maturely.

Sure thing ... you made valid points and if bold is what you are comfortable with, then us non-bolders will just have to deal with it.

Okay this time I chose a different font and I did not put the bold on. Is this hard to read on your computer?

Actually I think that looks worse. I guess I'll continue the search for my originality.

I think the default font is attractive and easy to read. And yes, since you asked, I usually think less of people who use special text, except for emphasis. It's harder for me to read, too.

If I want to enlarge existing text I do it manually on my own computer.

Actually I went blind a while back and luckily after a major surgery I have gained sight back but still have trouble with some things and colors.

I like your first bold type but this one (in the quote) is harder for me to read.

The colored type is rather a challenge for me if it is lighter....blue is the hardest. But I read it anyhow. The bold black is definitely easier for me to read due to eyesight problems.

I'm putting in my 2 cents too.

There are some colors and some fonts and some boldness that are "difficult", or moreso than some others. PERSONALLY, I don't like the bold black. It's like it reflects or something. I don't like the bold blues. The bold greens seem a little faded.

There are some other bolds that look "pleasant" and don't jump out at me. All in all, I PERSONALLY prefer regular strength type with simple lines and reserve the rest of the glitz for when I want to say something loud and clear or be a lady.

Smile Skip Buttons Needed

Usually I find that in life if everyone keeps it simple it works. Whenever we spend the extra time to use “special” attention getters for our text when posting, others may or may not read it. If it looks bad to some, it just gets skipped and I move on to the next posted message. My thoughts are we need to have a “skip button” added to the keyboards for those of us who have issues. Emotions are great when we need to add a little more help in understanding how we feel, but I agree with the one who said “over doing” it can be hard to read too. Back to keeping it simple always works.

I want to thank all of you who are simple for helping me read though your messages.

after looking at the key board,,,,, where do we add the skip button?

It doesn't appear to be hard to read . In my letters, calendars, and spreadsheets I make at my job, I use bold a lot because I find it easier to read in certain fonts. If I need to emphasize something I either underline it, color it, or change the font. These font options are available for our use. As long as its not difficult to read why should there be complaints about a poster making their post look different? I find it hard to read posts with 15 smilies throughout it. I haven't PM'd the poster to complain though. Everyone has the options to make their post look original. Variety is the spice of life.

Hurts my eyes...so I just won't read it.
