I sued HDL for the book "Why Yankees should NOT be Southern Fried" for slander. With the proceeds from the settlement I have paid the $500,000 CD fine.

For some reason I would have thought that this thread “Untrue and nothing but lies topic” would have become more political in nature. At least the subject fits those running for office more then others. I guess the news media covers most of the political comments so why would they post things in this thread anyway?

Due to the inflation and the poor economy I understand that the Power Ball Lottery will be charging $2 for the once priced $1 lottery ticket. This will help cover the higher costs due to rising fuel and excessively high ceo wages and retirement packages that are given out.

In an effort to raise the ratings of tv weather viewers locally ~ our hometown tv station has changed the daily reports to read the same every day with: sunny, cooler, moderate, and a gentile breeze regardless of the HOT, Muggy, Storm Warning, reports. Who wants to hear of “bad” weather reports I’m changing to a more likeable weather reporting station.

In a stunning reversal of previous "truths" Al Gore announced today that he was certain that Global Cooling was now taking place. It was said to have come about because of too many windmills off the east coast that had the undesirable effect of lowering temperature too much.

Mr. Gore indicated he would be using more jet planes and leaving his limo running in the future to help combat this.

T. Book Pickens announced today there is a shortage of hot air moving through the Central US.
He is requesting the Capital be moved to Kansas thus increase the volume of hot air and wind allowing him to produce sufficient power to end the oil crisis.

Washington DC announced they would fight the loss of this potential loss of untapped energy. They also noted the “breaking of wind” from the White house was a larger source of energy; which DC was much better equipped to deal with due to their experience with smelly issues over the last 50 years.
