Yeah,,, I know what you mean. A few years ago my wife and I were on a special trip to see the area and spend times with an old life long friend who I hadn’t seen in nearly 40 years. While visiting there, we took a boat to Vancouver together. I had my camera and it was a perfect spot with the back ground scenery and my friend with his wife. I took the picture and didn’t realize until after the trip that she had her tongue out while I shot it. What a sad thing to do because the picture would have been a perfect keeper.
i have a picture of me with my tongue sticking out...i believe i even posted it here in the "post your pictures" post. my reason was an 18 pack of beer. that is all lol.
After thinking farther about this matter I do remember teen girls sticking their tongues out at me just to see if I would take the photographs. Now these were all good kids from good homes. I took the photos but gave them to mom. I think they just were daring me to do it so I did. They didn't realize the zoom lens was taking a portrait from as far away as I was. They thought I was taking a photo of them on the horse with their tongue out.
What 'gets me' about it is that it's usually attractive-looking people that do it. So they KNOW people are going to comment on it, because who bothers looking at pictures of people that aren't attractive? Better yet, unattractive people (I'm not attractive at all, but I've accepted that) don't take nearly as many pictures as attractive people do. So, I guess what I'm saying is that it's JUST PLAIN ARROGANT for people to take pictures with their tongues sticking out. Kind of "in your face!".
