My initials are ADV, and I wanted a word that might represent me that was related to my initials without that being sooo obvious that that's what I was doing. I give the hint by capitalizing them though. I thought ADVanced might be a little too egotistical.
Adventive means introduced, but not yet well-established. On a message board, I take that to mean that I'm around, you may recognize me, but you don't really count me as one of the "regulars". That's how I seem to be on most of my boards, no matter how much I try to be around and post, I just can't keep up with the pace of the "regulars".
This is the only board where I use that name. I have different names on all my boards now. On other boards I use my first name, my first initial (sometimes middle initial too) and part of my last name, my daughter's initials followed by "mommy", stuff like that. I tried to be a little more creative here, and I think it's a good name.
Based on the explorer Ferdinand Magellan. I love to travel and do a lot of "urban exploration", photographing modern and classical architecture and urban streetscapes.
I think it's great jeffncandace that you would include your wife's name in your username. You're a true gentleman.
Just to lighten the mood I thought I'd throw out this question. Where did you come up with the idea for your internet name that you're using on this forum? Mine kinda jumps out at you. MontanaGuy-I'm a guy who was born and raised in Montana. Now wasn't that clever of me? Of course mine is obvious but there's some really weird names out there (you know who you are) and maybe you could share with the rest of us how you came up with your unusual name.
Someone on the forum assumed that I was a meteorologist. That would seem the obvious assumption, but no, it was just on of those "brain fart" words that I came up with one day while talking with my husband. We were discussing the weather and "meteoroligist" was just beyond my brain function and the word weatherologist came out instead. I knew that it was incorrect, but it just seemed so "right".
That's what I figured. But what about the "berries and cream" ??
I don't know if it plays everywhere, but there is a Starburst commercial where this fruity little guy, dressed and acting as if from the Shakesperean era, does a little song and dance about the flavor of the Starburst...berries and cream. Just random and it cracks me up every time!
