Today's Question(s):

What would claim as your 15 mins of fame ?

I'm still waiting...

Extra Credit Question:

Have you ever bought or sold anything on Ebay ?

Yes. Depression Glass. The rest of which I'm going to sell somewhere. I've got a couple of hundred pieces of glassware (not all Depression Glass) to rid myself of before I retire. Anyone here collect it?

Bonus Question:

What common, famous or sarcastic phrase best describes your mood today ?

"What, Hell! Pay attention! If you can't keep up, take notes."

Just for Fun:

Do any of the rooms in your house have :

Wallpaper ?
Paneling ?
Special decorative paint finish ?

No to all the above. KISS

Edit: Well foolish one here! Funny what you get used to. Our kitchen and 1/2 bath are papered.

Today in History:
1805 - Lewis and Clark 1st see Rocky Mountains. Have I ever told you the story about the settlers and South Park, Co?
1896 - Dow Jones begins an index of 12 industrial stocks (closing is 40.94)
1911 - 1st Indianapolis 500 auto race is run
1913 - Actors’ Equity Association was organized in New York City
1977 - Movie "Star Wars" debuts
1978 - 1st legal gambling casino opens in Atlantic City - yup lol I have given them money
2009 - Tek freak & Mrs Tek freak arrived for vaca in Jax !

And a fine time was had by all! We will be coming back you know. What a great group of people we met there. And we still have to have lunch with BlueWillowPlate.

Babble

Thank you, Karla for the reminder of our visit. It sure was great meeting all of you and we want to get back sometime after we retire. It will probably be either the summer/fall of 2011 or 2012 as we are still working on getting this place in order so we can sell.

Fence is done! It looks great and it is really nice having the next door neighbors across the front. They do have to come back, though. The west gate is flush (front to back) at the bottom, but tipped out about an inch at the top. They need to realign it. It sure does look better than the one it replaced. 21 years took it's toll...

Got the left side of my mouth done yesterday. That was some of the easiest dental work ever. Well, not really dental, but they shot me full of Novocain and I didn't feel a thing, not even the shots. They paint some deadening liquid on before the needle. Pretty nice.

I think I may have found a replacement for myself. I met with one of my clients and a computer guy they found in a group called BNI. Not only does he seem like a good replacement (fingers crossed) but he brought up keeping me on call for a few months and giving me 5% of what they make from the clients I hand over. My kind of guy!

Now I have to start introducing him to clients. I'm planning on going with him to business clients and sending a letter of introduction to the others - with his approval.

It'll be nice to not just drop everyone. I'm feeling guilty enough as it is. And it will be nice to have some extra income for a while.

We went from beautiful spring weather to mid summer weather in the course of a few days. It really, really sucks out there! Mid-80's expected over the weekend, which is cooler than it has been. It's still May, darn it!

Mrs. Tek got into something again and she's suffering. Head and ear aches that started with a sore neck and moved into her head. She has been taking a lot of antihistamines this week.

I'm starting my fifth (yes 5th!) blood pressure medicine tomorrow. Maybe this one will work. Yeah, right. Both Mrs. Tek and the doc are pushing me to do a sleep study to find out if I have sleep apnea. I can't imagine I would sleep with a mask on my face. I am resisting....

Everyone have a great evening!

Today's Question(s):

What would claim as your 15 mins. of fame? My Mom says that "self-praise is half-scandal."

Extra Credit Question:

Have you ever bought or sold anything on Ebay? I was told this is the best place in the world to go to get your identity stolen. I don't go there.

Bonus Question:

What common, famous or sarcastic phrase best describes your mood today? Waiting.

Just for Fun:

Do any of the rooms in your house have:

Wallpaper? Yes
Paneling? Yes
Special decorative paint finish? No. That is too complicated.

Today's Question(s):

What would YOU claim as your 15 mins of fame ?
Hard to say. I have spoken before congressional committees on environmental issues, been a member of winning sail boat racing teams, but I like to think I have not reached the point where I have only 15 min of fame to count on.

Extra Credit Question:

Have you ever bought or sold anything on Ebay ?
I have bought lots, but never sold anything. As a pack rat, I would find it hard if not impossible to sell one of my treasures. Mrs. Cncracer is the anti-pack rat. She some how gets rid of most of my not needed treasures without me knowing.

Bonus Question:

What common, famous or sarcastic phrase best describes your mood today?

Busy as a one armed paper hanger.

Just for Fun:

Do any of the rooms in your house have :

Wallpaper?
Lots of it, I know the Dining room and kitchen have wall paper, but nothing you would remember after a quick look. Our Master Bath is another issue; it has paper which I would call erotic. It is suppose to look like leaves, flowers, and branches, but when viewed with out my glasses all I see are breast, female gentiles, an occasional penis, and some funny faces. Our last house has some nice wallpaper. The dinning room had a raised wall paper on the ceiling. It looked like the old metal squares seen in old homes.

Paneling? Not the 4’ by 8’ type, but the type which comes to a chair rail with squares spaced at intervals. Gives the rooms a colonial look.

Special decorative paint finish? One room has the names of old cars around the top of the room, the bath has wall paper with maps of highway 66, and the state signs. I use it for a home office, but I think it was designed as a boys bedroom.

Today is:
National Blueberry Cheesecake Day:
I bet it is good, love blue berries and cheese cake.
National Cherry Dessert Day:
I will trade the cherry pie for more blue berry cheese cake
Celebrity Marriage Day: A few days late; last Sunday was our anniversary.
Dracula Day:
Safe Boating Day:
I hope more than just a day.
Star Wars Day
Wallpaper Day: Not
for me, Mrs. Cncracer is good at it, but I find it boaring.

^^ LOL,,, no it was an important meeting with the executives of the company. Mike was providing some valuable information, training and insight. He seemed to be a little embarrassed at the end of the meeting,,,,,,, the story is best told first hand. So I’ll let Mike tell it again. LOL
