Today's Question(s):

What would claim as your 15 mins of fame ? I think I'm still waiting for mine. I guess a lot of people know who I am, but that's where I used to live. I'm starting from scratch again!
Oh-- I forgot, I was photographed a looong time ago for the fashion section of the Chicago paper and I did a show for a famous director (who was a big jerk; surprise) once (modeling).

Bonus Question:

Default Love it. You bet. Oh, man. Whatever.

Karla, I really enjoy your little scenarios, the vignettes you create -- 'the hubby is sleeping, the dogs are sleeping, nothing at all on tv. . .' and the like. Such sweet scenes -- like peeking into the windows of your home, Miss Withakay.

Ebay purchasing is a lot of fun, but I haven't looked at anything online in a long time.

I got some great deals on ironstone I like, and Fiesta ware to complement the new Fiesta we use as our everyday dishes. Mr. Rdslots and I collect a few small items -- pens for him, little unusual clocks for me -- and we have added a few of those items to our collections, at a good price, in the past. When Rdslots Jr. was little, she got caught up in the Ty Beanies craze, and had a lot of fun bartering for, and trading, Beanie Babies. For purely nostalgic reasons, my hubby found a copy of my primer reader in the 1950s-60s Alice and Jerry series, and I truly enjoy reliving my learning-to-read experiences with Alice's, Jerry's, and Sally's school days, life in the neighborhood, trips to the farm, visiting grandma and grandpa, and the like.

Our experiences on Ebay have been good ones. We've never sold an item on Ebay, but my brother-in-law has done well with some artwork and collectibles.

What common,famous or sarcastic phrase best describes your mood today ?

Err, that would be *whatever*.

Do any of the rooms in your house have :

Wallpaper ?

As a matter of fact, several do. Funny how I've gotten so used to the house until I never even notice the wallpaper, with the exception of that plastered to the walls of the master bath, and I suppose that is largely because the bath is just a little what I'd call 'over-the-top' and probably slightly 'tacky' by some standards. I didn't do it! It was here, and the MLS listing brags on the house as being the former model home. Whatever.

The kitchen is papered, as is the lower half of the dining room's walls (which to me is a bit backwards -- should be the half above the chair railing -- but again, whatever). I really like wallpaper, and the effects one can get using it; I can even hang it, myself! Whooo-hooo!

Paneling ?

In the library, and again, in the downstairs bedroom that can also be used as an office. For us, it's the tv room, and where I sit on my sofa with my laptop, and Toto snuggled beside me.

Special decorative paint finish ?

Not so much, decorative paint finishes, but some nice colors and interesting treatments; for example, not all of the ceilings are ceiling white, which is nice. The family room, which is more like a formal living room for us, where we entertain and I enjoy reading because of the volume of natural light, has a two-story wall of windows, and I dread the day that room will need re-painting. It'll require scaffolding and/or tall ladders, and I'm just not going to tackle like I might have in my 20s or 30s. It'll get done by a professional, or it won't get done. Whatever.
