Well, I'm a "domestic engineer" as well. Was a SAHM til the fledgling flew the coop a few years ago (she's now 21). We just moved 5 weeks ago and I am suppose to be unpacking. However this past week my left knee decided it didn't like me. So I've been resting it (while playing on the computer of course). Liz

Retired and happy.

It's in southern Orange county New York.

No openings, sorry. I'm in start-up mode so just making payroll is a big deal for me. Nearly everyone is a friend or part-timer and the admin only works on contract. I used to do his job in my old corporate slave life but realized I have to focus on my new job of making sure the business works and stays open. Makes it tough because I feel the need to do things but have to stop and remind myself that's not my hat any longer. IT stuff tends to be a time sink. You start doing something simple then realize you've spent hours doing it when you should have been minding the business itself.

I'm basically a tea monger. If and when it gets big, I'll be adding more full time staff. Right now I do this just about 10-14 hours a day. My only other indulgences were including a very comfy couch in the office and a shower in my office bathroom. My second-hand liquidation-bought rather ugly credenza is mostly filled with clothes . I allow myself a few hours a day to walk my dogs and do occasional family things, but otherwise I'm always working and use CD as a way to clear my head before moving on to the next task.

And yes, I'm an insomniac.
