You really should come to the Big Apple. You may love it or hate it, but everyone ought to come for a visit.

Being a teacher, my routine is different during the summer, than the school year. Now that the school year has started, here is my routine:

I get my 2 children ready for school in the AM. I then take my youngest with me to elementary school and my oldest will go to middle by himself I teacher between 16-20 6 year olds their academics and social skills, and am a parent when their parent isn't being a parent. I do this for my daytime activities, and then after school I get ready for the next day, or try to get ready for the next week. Then I grab my little one, and try to rush over to my son's middle school to be able to pick him up. Once home I do homework for my little one and TRY to do homework for the big one. At the same time I am straightening up and cooking dinner to have it ready for when my hubby comes home. Oh, and I am walking the dog and feeding the animals. After dinner I clean up and then make sure the children are bathed, and possibly finishing homework. Then I do my pwn wprk for my job (we teachers never get it done during the work day). This is Mon-Fri. (of course some months I have to take classes...). Then on Saturday I take my kids to their basketball games, and I do my top to bottom house cleaning, and I do my cooking for the whole next week and freeze it (this way I only have to worry about side dishes). Then Sunday I hopefully am able to go somewhere like the beach with the family, and probably have to finish something for school, and definitely finish wash. Then I look forward to summer!

Default No such thing as "typical"

Well I am in South Florida. Stay at home (for now) wife and mother. Gave up my career 2 years ago to care for my terminally ill father after mom died. Dad passed shortly after.
Typical day, don't have them. I keep telling myself that I need to get back to work .
Ah lets start at Friday. Husband had 2 dr. appointments, 1 at 6:30am - 1 at 8:30 am. Get to first one, husband doesn't have ins. card. WHY????? Needless to say , back home to get card .By the time we got home it was 1:30 .
Got home, the a/c that i just replace in June....not working. News says going to be hottest weekend of the year. Great !!! Call a/c company... reply... Tuesday. Even better, I'm in no hurry. Yep weather man correct. Hit 96 degrees sunday, not including the humidity.
Weekend, husband spent the whole weekend doing construction at friends house for trade of mechanical work on our truck. (Got lots of work at my own house to get done.)Trucks not done and its Tuesday !! Driving husband back and forth to work at 4:30 am. (Lovely)
Last night, hmmm..... no hot water, why I ask. The on/off switch we have for our hot water heater literally melted !!! This couldn't be a hazzard, could it. So, on this lovely Tuesday morning,2nd day of school and my son doesn't feel well,(tummy ache) too bad.Heres some pepto, have a good day ! I am off the the wonderful Home Depot, hot , unshowered, just feeling peachy !! Nothing like a wonderful morning to start the day. Today I will be putting urathane on wood for bathrooms and painting the kitchen. And don't forget packing for a move in 4 weeks. Oh yeah, and waiting for the a/c guy between 1-3 pm to come and hit me with another big bill !! Gotta love South Florida !
Sorry, just a bit overwhelmed.
I long for a typical day !!
