Default A day in your life

Hi everyone!!! I've been thinking, (it happens from time to time). As I have read throught the posts I often wonder about the person behind the opinion,(has anyone else??), and thought it would be interesting to know what others routines and lives are like. I've wondered if you were men or women. If you are young or had more life experience. So this post is to give a glimpse into our lives and our background, and the ordinary simple things we do each day. So here is my ordinary, boring day......

I slept in until 8:30(Yeah), then got up to clean up the mess my 4 children had left for me. Took the family to church, had a nap with my baby, made dinner and did the dishes. Enjoyed the weather outside and watered my dying grass. Checked the fourm.

What did you do today?
LORI

There are message boards and chats where you learn all you want about the poster. Here the interest is in topics.

Hi LORI,
Ok, here's my ordinary, boring day. Got up at 3am, fixed tea, checked forum, got ready for work, checked forum, checked forum again before leaving for work. Arrived at work, checked forum. Worked a little, checked forum, worked a little more, checked forum....<12 hours of working and checking forum>.... left work and went home, checked forum, listened to radio while checking forum......It's a sickness.

That was rather rude, especially from someone who created a "What do you miss" thread. Knowing about a poster helps a reader evaluate the post's information. If I had a small child, I would find the opinion of another parent more useful than that of a person without kids.

Hi shanenlori,

Here's a typical weekday:

I get up between 4 and 5 am (whenever I can drag myself out of bed) and work out. Then I spend about 40 minutes traveling 11 miles to work. I usually end up in a meeting for an hour that should only have taken 15 minutes. I try to meet a friend for lunch a couple times a week.

After work it's grocery shopping, picking up dry cleaning or some other errand, then home to make dinner and do some housework.

Finally I get to watch a little TV or read before bed, just to do it all over again. Of course I'm checking my favorite forums off and on throughout the day!

Typical day? That's funny . We are renovating our house that we bought last winter, so there is no telling....

Today I was up at 7, took the dog to the lake to hunt for frogs (her thing, not really mine), check e-mail & forum, went to massage a horse (my work for the day), check e-mail & forum, met my husband for lunch. That took care of the morning.

Now off to Wal-Mart for some paint for the bathroom that we are putting in. Home, check e-mail & forum, let dog out, pick tomatoes from garden, check e-mail & forum, get paint stuff ready in bathroom, check e-mail & forum, paint 1/2 of bathroom, check e-mail & forum, rinse paint roller & tray, check e-mail & forum, start dinner.

After dinner, check e-mail & forum, take dog for walk, check e-mail & forum, shower, check e-mail & forum, vegetate on couch until bedtime.

I'm a stay-at-home mom, so my typical day (especially during the week) is spent taking care of my kids, taking care of our pets (2 cats & a toy poodle), cleaning house, cooking, some time on the internet.

When school starts, I'll be getting up a lot earlier (6:30 AM ick!), getting the kids up and ready for school, driving them to school, then doing my typical stuff before having to pick them up at 2:30.

I usually get groceries and other things on Friday, go to church on Wednesday nights and Sundays.

Real excitin' life, eh? I like my life though.

Sometimes when we type things and people read them they don't come across the way we mean them to. I have done it myself and had someone get angry then I reread it and realized I can see how it could be taken as such.
At first I thought your comment was mean but after rereading it again I think you were trying to say that there are forums that are set up where you can put all kinds of information about yourself like a sort of extensive profile.
Such as name, hobbies and interest and such. And instead of that this forum has the other topics section.

My day has been kind of boring,I got up at 7am made a cup of coffee, usually hazelnut..lol but bought this choclate silk flavored coffee last week so I'm suffering through that instead.Checked my e-mail,msn and the forum. Then opened all the windows to let fresh air in...no ac today...yipee I live in humid sc. I folded some laundry, went outside..got bit by a few fire ants made my husband and I breakfast then just puttered around abit.
Oh was enjoying the breeze and took a short cat nap,now I'm back here on the forum deciding what's for dinner. I work 4/10 hour days so sunday is my lazy day.Mondays are usually groceries and cleaning and tuesdays I do whatever.Wed-Sat is all work ,so a 4 day work week works out pretty good for me.
