What to do with the gross neighbors.... (ideas, to buy, to live)

"Disturbing the peace" should be grounds enough. Surely worse than a barking dog, IMO. And how late do they do this?

While I agree with the misuse of the 911 system, perhaps a *confused youngster could call the non emergency number a few times, wondering if somebody's being harmed and they don't want their mommy to know they're seeing this and are embarassed and might get in trouble because they're not even allowed to watch HBO! This is good if there's ever a babysitter.

Now lets start from the beginning so that we can get a much clearer picture of this.

1. They are in their private backyard, correct?
2. Is there a privacy fence? Such as a 6'-8' wooden fence?
3. How close are the houses on all sides?
4. Do you share fences? Or do they share a fence w/ another neighbor?
5. The mom I'm going to assume is "of age" to be able to have "consentual sex"? I hope so I am also assuming she is not married? But this has nothing to do with it except for the fact she has shown her daughter it is okay to screw around.
6. The daughters age.... I don't know the ages in Canada where it can be consentual???

Like mother like daughter in this case. Mom has shown it is okay to have sex w/ anyone you feel like and the boyfriend of the daughter sounds like the type she would attract. His parents probably don't care either as long as he is out of their hair.

As for having sex or getting intimate in ones OWN PRIVATE BACKYARD, SO WHAT! But then I have a 10' privacy fence w/ landscaping around that hides my yard, pool and hot tub from view of every neighbors upstairs windows that might could see into the yard. This reminds me of the story from a few years ago where the cops arrested a couple for having sex IN THEIR BEDROOM! Their blinds were open but the neighbor next door could see them from their own window and called the police for the "public sex". GIVE ME A FRIGGIN BREAK! If your PEEPING into YOUR neighbors window and catch them in the act in their own bedroom who now has the problem? I'm not saying that what is going on is right or anything but I'm saying that if they are in the privacy (meaning they have a privacy fence) of their own yard they can do such. Now they do need to keep the noise level down or at least turn up the music in the yard. I'm glad none of ya'll live by me.

You could always cheer and applaud really loud when they hit the big finish. Might embarrass them a little bit. I would call the cops when they get started and take the phone outside so that could hear them might help them show up.

If this were hanppening in one of my neighbor's backyards, I would do the following:

Find a detailed and easily comprehensible article online about the life-threatening danger that a woman faces for engaging in coitus under the water, print two copies, seal them each in an envelope, and mail them with no return address. If I really wanted to be a stinker, I would also enclose a photograph of each of them "caught in the act" - but that would be risky because they might figure out from where the photo was taken. Nevertheless, I think that the article alone would possibly enlighten them to the dangers of what they are doing, and at the same time they would realize that other people are witnessing their backyard romps.

If that doesn't do it I would call the authorities while they are doing it and have them observe for themselves what is going on. It is considered disturbing the peace in most areas. When I call the local sherriff to report a disturbance in my neighborhood they never ask for my identification. If they do ask for ID in your area, there is no way I would believe that the police would tell your neighbor who called. They are all for keeping the peace, not insighting animosity between neighbors. Trust your local LE to know how to handle this with tact.

This is why I live in the country. I can do whatever I want in my backyard without worrying abot neighbors. I don't have a hot tub but I have an inground pool and I have been in that naked, without anyone being able to see me that wasn't invited.

Same here. If someone called the police on me for sunbathing or swimming naked in MY backyard w/ as much privacy as I have around it then they are the ones w/ some serious problems. I'd have them arrested for being a peeping tom or some kind of sick-o pervert.

As for even looking to watch to take pictures of them in the act..... that is a good way to get yourself thrown in jail. If some pics of me in my backyard showed up on my door I'd be calling the cops and pressing charges (I'd have to do this before hubby found out or else I'd probably be bailing him out of jail). Then they would be the ones labeled a "sex offender" and would have to register.

Applauding the performance is a great idea! You could also add a snide comment, like: "Wow, I wonder if they watched the same movie I did the other day! Sounds just like it; great acting!"

By the way, approaching the neighbors with the moral context of how the kids are affected probably wouldn't be met with a good response. If these were decent people, they wouldn't be vocalizing so loudly in the first place. And I agree, like mother like daughter. Euww. The only real recourse is to go to the police.

Hey, here's another option: When the noise gets too loud, BLAST your stereo in their direction! Maybe they might get a clue (but probably not). It would be even funnier if the kids were gone, so you could blast "Love to Love You Baby" by Donna Summer or something equally appropriate!

I would call the police station and tell them you hear strange noises and you think there is a prowler
in the neighbor hood , that should solve the problem instantly

And some ice cold water balloons might be just what the kids need. Get a big launcher and shoot them over the house into the hot tub area!

I'm sorry but I think this is completely innappropriate behavior...I think everyone agrees that children should not be exposed to this and I'm sure the adults feel the same way...

Hot tubs are nice and all but have a little decency...
