You could try going to the window and loudly calling out something along the lines of "Are you all right? Should I call the police??" If it keeps up, call out something else like "is he hurting you??" "Do you need help??" "Are you SURE???" A little coitus iterrupt-us, if you will.

Hot tubs are nice and all but have a little decency...

If anyone can see me in my hot tub, pool or laying out then they are the ones w/ a problem as w/ the large privacy fence and landscaping that I have they would have to go to great lengths to see me or even hear me. So me and hubby sitting in the hot tub enjoying each other is THAT BAD! LOL!!! No one said we were having sex in it either and I don't make that much noise . It is not like we are in public, at a public pool or in the front yard. Geez. A private backyard is that, private. If it is a "private" backyard in the firstplace.

I might just be tempted to get out my camera, make sure the flash was on, and snap away. No need for film, but the flash should be enough to get their attention........

If you are in your own private backyard and there is a privacy fence around it, then you should be able to do as you please with your significant other. If someone is trying to see in, that's a "peeping tom". There is nothing wrong with being au naturel in your own private home or in your own private backyard. That's the whole idea. Otherwise why have a fence? It is "your" home, not someone else's. I know when we move, I'm really going to try not to buy a home with a 2 story near me, or they may get see more than they intended. Either that, or a real high privacy fence with lots of trees and foliage.
My only thought would be that if I have neighbors (especially with children), I would try to keep the noise down a bit.

Everything you said was correct; your private yard, your private business. However, I think the noise is the problem. That's just rude. If you're a screamer, take it inside. No need to make others listen to your business.

These neighbors are able to look up from their hot tub and see the windows of our house just as easily as we can see down. The houses are very close together (the joy of living close to Vancouver.) and yes, they do share a fence with 5 neighbors. There is no land in between yards. We don't go sneaking up to their yard trying to be peeping toms. We are trying to live our lives and have our windows open on nice cool summer nights and that is what we have to hear. I don't think what they are doing falls under the "I can do what ever I want on my property argument." The other really sick thing is the mom works with youth at risk as a counselor. She of all people should know better than to take the chance of warping my kids minds. They do the deed late at night (11pm or later) but again, what if my child wakes up? Do I not have the right to have my windows open? I am so not agreeing with your 'their property' argument when we are dealing with such close neighbors. If the houses were far apart then yeah, they can do what they like. My back yard is about 15 feet from back door to the fence. Very close!
They have absolutely no respect for the neighbors around them and shouldn't have moved in if they wanted to be so inappropriate. I bet the "too bad" people on here wouldn't be saying that if it was their kids at risk and I would hope you would have more class then to engage in adult activity when you know there is a good chance any neighbor could easily see you by glancing out their windows.
Thanks to all of you who came up with such creative ideas!

And this is why I TOO, live in the country. No Neighbors to bother me, or for me to bother them!! City living has it's benefits, but the "Privacy" thing is so often an issue when in an urban environment.

If your neighbors are close enough to see your windows then they have to assume you can see them also-Take it inside-that is just INCONSIDERATE! Now you could go to the store and buy the air horn thingy and every time they are performing scuba sex-BLAST them from the window. I bet they would either quit or they might call the police-in that case you tell the officer that you observed an infraction in the tub game and were issuing a warning.

Oh and by the way- I live in such a remote area that I could go all day with no clothes on and no one would see me.
