Security system for home (apartment, home security, live in)

Well, the thing is my parents live in Ottawa (I was born and raised there) and they stay alone, they're growing old. I'm currently staying at an apartment in Toronto with my family. Moved in many years back.

So, anybody knows a company which has distribution all over Canada? I'm doing my homework too.
