Of those gods and goddesses recorded in history, which god or goddess could you relate to? I like knowing about the goddess iris. Which means rainbow...
Eris/Discordia (depending on whether you're into Greek or Roman names), the goddess of strife and discord. She may not be nice, but looking around, she's certainly powerful.

Amphictyonis- I like her because she is the goddess of, 'wine and friendship among nations' both of which I think make the world a better place. As I've gotten older I've realized just how important both are to me!
Nut is my favorite, because after all, who doesn't see a giant naked babe with stars painted all over her body every time they look up at the night sky?

That's her twin brother Ares you're thinking of, the god of war. Ares handles the conflict and bloodshed, and Eris spreads the controversy and confusion. There's a subtle difference...But yeah, they both know how to party hearty.
I love that planetoid Eris is now the ruler of Libra. It not only explains why Libras have to argue with every dang thing you say, but it places Eris and Ares 180 degrees apart on the astrological wheel.
The Green man is my deity of choice. He is a God of birth & rebirth he also reminds us of the connection that some of us have lost with nature. He is of course also my favorite God. I feel more of a connection with him then I do the rest.
