this whole harry potter thing has just gotten out of hand. i dont even know how the main idea of this thread got so warped. i guess im not the only one with a short attention span. but yeah anyways, focusing on wicca which i do believe is what this is all bout and seeing as we have established there is no similarity between harry potter and the actual religion we can move on.

like it has been stated over and over (& over & over) wicca is not satanic seeing as wiccans dont believe in hell and DO NOT believe in satan or worship him in any way shape or form. spells are like praying with intent, and not all wiccans practice witchcraft/magic. wicca is not synonymous with witchcraft seeing as you do not have to be wiccan to practice witchcraft and like i already said not all wicans perform magick. wiccans are not anti-christian. we do not hate christians, their religion, their god, the bible, or any other religion there is out there because we are taught to love and be civil, good people. we are taught to harm none in the course of our actions. we do not go around telling people they should convert or try to pervert your childrens' minds

if you want to continue to believe that wicca is an evil satanic brainwashing cult then go ahead. thats your problem, you are the one that is misinformed and wrong . i know what i am, i know what i do, i have morals, i have ethics (high ones at that) and i am open minded.

what i dont understand is that if we are able to accept you, to be completely civil towards you, we let everyone think whatever their little hearts desire no matter how it clashes with our beliefs without telling them that they are wrong or trying to change them or even calling them names, why cant everyone do the same for us? just leave us alone an worry about your own personal business instead of starting a thread calling us satanic evil people and perpetuating the prejudice and hatred against things that are different.

My friend is wiccan and she is so far from evil it is scary, she is more saintly!!!!
And the last part, I agree 100%. People just need to mind their own business and quit assuming when obviously they have no idea what they are talking about.

Well yeah! Unless he's Gene Simmons. Wait, I don't think he's the one who plays guitar. I'm up for Kool-Aid and have always been a S'more fanatic so get ready!

Omigosh, another 'fanatic' on our hands! I LOVE smore's like nothing else! Except I stay away from the smores cereal...wayyy too sugary! And I think there are some people in this forum that need a time out. Anyone agree? And JerZ, I gave you rep points and my comments got wackd out because of my finicky laptop! I think you are awesome and truly love your POV. I so appreciate where you are coming from and am thankful for you on this forum!

As such, we will not and do not allow our children to read them, nor would we recommend them to others. That is our opinion on the books. No one here is saying to ban or burn the books. We're simply saying for us we feel the content, and overall message, is anti-Biblical. Please don't jump back at me saying this or that I know how you feel about. Just wanted to attempt to base our position here.
Yes, I understand it's how you feel, and that you're not suggesting it should be banned or anything... just thought you might be interested in knowing how the library classifies it. Totally off-topic from the original thoughts (sorry Hoosier!), but it just went that way somehow. Anyway, I'm still glad you found the post interesting, even if it had nothing to do with your point. You have the right to choose not to read it, and to not have your children read it... and I have the right to be glad many of them are.

Yeah, that was pretty funny, but I decided not to say "this or that" in response... Basically he was just requesting a cease-fire to the debate, and getting in his last word - which I accepted without being my usual stubborn redheaded self.

LOL... awww, but I love S'mores and bad folk music! Don't know about the Kool-Aid, though.

Hey, did you get my matzo recipes? Hope you enjoy them!
