Pagan Pride Day!
I just got back from the local Pagan Pride festival -- as always, a wonderful event with many things to see!
Met a couple of friends and we wandered for a while, listened to the music, and had a nice lunch. Unfortunately, we were too late for the opening ritual, but we were there for the closing.
Makes me wish I had money to donate; there are so few volunteers these days, maybe I'll step up next year.
Anyhow, I just wanted to wish everyone here a happy Pagan Pride Day -- whatever your religion!

When I lived in Columbia, Sc we tried to get one there as well. There is one here in Sept can't wait to go on all my years of being a Pagan I've never been to one.

I've been to several in California, and had a wonderful time, but there doesn't appear to be one in Oklahoma.
Interestingly enough, nobody has ever bothered me about the pent I always visibly wear, or tried to save me, or reacted negatively at all here. On the other hand in California (Riverside) the fundies would gather to pray for you as if you needed saving so there's pros and cons. One of my neighbors visitors even got the needed herbs together to clean the house when this negative spirit had come, having noticed the salt trails by the door.
I know there are pagans here, just not orbanized, I guess. Bummer.
It was so nice the last Pagan Pride gathering I went to. There was a Christan group nearby, and they were hsving some kind of gathering with family. They came to watch the circle and the drummers and enjoyed the drummers a lot. It was hot and they shared their cold water with us. They were not the least offended when we came to use the park.

That is the one in Wake County on the 15-16th of Sept. right? I went to it a few years back. It was pretty fun, remember to bring some canned goods for the food drive.
