Buy yourself a small fridge with a small freezer and keep your own food in your own room. Get a lock (I had one when my kids were small). It's NOT THAT HARD.

You are a bigger whiner than my 16 year old son.

buy lunch meat and bread instead. keep the bread in your room. buy a little fridge and keep the meat in your room. problem solved.

or you can buy those healthy choice steamers meals which don't require refrigeration and can be popped in the microwave. I brought them often to my work and kept them in my purse with a plastic fork. then i got them out at lunch and ate at my desk. At my office you have 10 minutes tops to run and get something and then you it it while you work. When I worked in retail you had a 30 minute break. that was nice. when you have a career you grab something when you can.

It'll be nice when I am a cop.
I can just bring lunch or pick something up. There are few places we can go in town, no drive thrus and no where you can't see your food being made.

Basically, 7-11, panda express, qdoba, chipotle, and if you are close with the people who work drive through then its ok to go through in a patrol car.

you have an excuse for everything. nothing is ever your fault and the whole world is against you. you don't want constructive answers or suggestions. you just want to moan and groan and you complain nobody here will sympathize with you.

Your posts are like a train wreck. I know I shouldn't look but somehow I end up taking a peek and then regret it so much. Obviously many others feel the same way.

Maybe if nobody responds she will go away or grow up. I'm through.

Well sorry you feel that way but you don't live here so you couldn't possibly know how my mom can get.

I feel kind of sorry for you because you really seem to need someone to talk to/vent to. You'd get more sympathy talking to a friend your own age who can relate. You are really barking up the wrong tree here.

I think that few here dispute that your mother is difficult. However, as an adult you should be able to ANTICIPATE her moves and plan to avoid being sucked into her drama. If you know that your mother takes your food out of the family fridge plan for it.

Nobody can make your mother respect your stuff. However, you can plan your life to avoid all of the drama. You are an adult now. It's YOUR JOB to plan your life.

Since you are living rent free in your mother's house, using her car, AND you have a job, you can buy your own fridge (a small one is about $100). Until then buy items that do not require refrigeration and keep them locked up.

"Teenage mentality lasts from early adolescence until 22 or 23 years of age. Most of the research shows kids are still using the same parts of their brain at 22 that they were using at 15. Their brain is still developing in their early 20’s."

I just found that online.

So true, and I have to add that through both my job as a college instructor and my work with a local non-profit, I'm around twenty-somethings all of the time, and they're mostly mature and thoughtful people. I think that's why these threads irk me so much. I've seen young people come from some pretty horrific circumstances and not make nearly this many excuses or do this much moaning.
