Default baby boys or girls?

- I'm still single right now. So in the future when I get married and have babies, I like to have both girls and boys. Because I think boys or girls are also important because they are my kids. What about you guys? You want to have girls or boys after you get married?

Best wishes,

SakuraNam

doesn't really matter what you want, since you have no control over it...

Why don't you focus on hoping to have HEALTHY children. That is the most important thing. It is pretty much a given that most women want to have a little girl and most men want a little boy to start out with.

You get what you get, and you don't get upset. That said, I'm very happy that we have one of each.

I wanted a girl but got a boy. Loved him so much I wondered how I could have ever even felt that way!

Since you are posting this on a parenting forum... odds are good that 99% of us already have children. You may have done better asking what we all already have.

BTW... I have girl, boy, girl... in that order.

I started out thinking I wanted three boys. I ended up with a boy and two girls. I wouldn't change it for anything. You have no real control over what you are going to have, so just go with the flow, pray they're healthy and do the best you can.

Actually I think my dh wanted a girl even though he never admitted it. She is definitely a daddy's girl. I wanted a boy because there are so many girls in my family. But I enjoy both. I get to do girl things with my daughter and my son is a mama's boy.

well I always said I wanted 2 kids- a boy and a girl. As I got older and saw all the girl drama--even at very young ages--I decided I would rather have 2 boys. Well got lucky with #1 BOY and the entire time I was preg with #2 I think I knew it would be a girl but was adamant that I was going to have another boy. I really don't like PINK and lacy frilly things! Well when baby #2 was born it was a GIRL and I wasn't upset since I think I already knew

I love her JUST as much and like others have said I really only ever wanted a HEALTHY baby.

All of my friends were goo goo ga ga about girly stuff. It just doesn't excite me. BUT I have to admit shopping for a girl is more fun and you can get away with more funky stuff!

I have several friends that have 3+ boys in an effort to have a GIRL. I really hope they wanted to have that many children but having more trying to have a different sex to me is not the best idea. Some even resorted to specific methods for increasing odds of a girl etc....they now have 4 boys.

My mom knew I was going to be a girl, even though she had a doctor that didn't believe in ultra sounds, she had to have one since I was breech.

My mom was CONVINCED my sister was a boy. They even had Michael all picked out for her after our grandfather. However they had to change it to Michelle.

I know my dad REALLY wanted a boy. And I still think he wishes he had a boy. Whenever we bring a boyfriend home to meet him he lights out and starts on the topics of golf and football. He also coached my sisters middle school softball team which was good for him since he prob could of never coached hard ball.

Over all I love having a sis and this its great that I was able to have a same sex sibling.
