Good grief - I can't believe some of your who live down in the same area as you know who held your tongue so well. I'm not sure I could have.

LOL...It wasn't easy (for me anyway can't speak for others) but I'm trying to rein in my natural snarkish tendencies....at least a tiny bit....

ETA - I do appreciate the efforts of others however....Finster...that was priceless...I pay homage to you on your quip....

Crud! Too funny! I'm still coughing. I haven't started my steroid taper yet. I got the flu shot at the pharmacy the day I got the prescription filled. The pharmacist recommended I postpone taking the steroid for a couple of weeks. But my allergies are slightly better now that I'm spending less time in my attic (that's where my computer is located so I can study in a quiet environment!) I haven't started talking the allergy medication yet either. It's hard for me to establish new habits. Thanks for reminding me. I'm going to start taking the medication tomorrow. You're right. This isn't something I should ignore. Gotta get my butt to the hospital for the xray to play it safe and make sure nothing else is going on in there.

"crud" is my generic term for feeling crappy without knowing exactly what is going on...Right now DD is suffering from "the crud" too....Spending several hours/day working at a preschool pretty much guarantees lots of "crud"....She's ready to come home and have mommy take care of her over the holiday...(mommy is ready too...)

Please don't forget the x-ray. Not interested in scaring you but I have reason for being more alert and concerned about these symptoms.

Me too. My mother died of lung cancer. The only reason I'm not too worried is because this happens to me every fall.

But I'll definitely get the x-ray since it has been about 3 years since the last time I've had one.

Thanks to you too, Hopes!

That whole conversation towards the end got my blood up, a little. I really hate to see today's young women (uggh I sound old ) malign their fellow women like that.

I really thought back in the 80's and 90's we were making some progress toward women being taken seriously in the workplace regardless of whether they chose to get their rocks off (or not) in some way or another. It irks me no end that men still get applauded for it while the women get called all sorts of derogatory names by other women. Pffft.

Ok, end of soapbox. Sorry to hear about your, um .... crud.
