Many of us had those moms that shelled out the discipline. No matter if your Black, White, Asian, Hispanic, we all have those stories about mom that you laugh about today.
I use to call my mom the bionic superwoman. Bionic because she had bionic hearing and superwoman because she could fly across a room in 2 seconds flat. Here are a lists of my moms superhuman powers.
1. Mom had a great aim and a special shoe that could curb around walls and make direct contact to a body party.
2. Mom had wonderful hearing, two rooms down she could hear me sucking my teeth, making plans to run away
3. Mom could see through walls, she could see me rolling my eyes, giving the middle finger, folding my arms and sticking out my tongue.
4. Mom had great speed and endurance, sitting on opposite sides of the room, she could leap across to my side in less that 2 seconds.
5. Mom had laser beams...one direct look made me change positions or stop talking
What are some of your childhood memories of Mom and discipline?
What a great thread!!! I was laughing reading about your mom!
My mom always had eyes in the back of her head and ears the size of the world. She knew everthing I did no matter how hard I tried to keep it from her. I think I put every gray hair on her head. The worst thing she would do to me is give me "the look" - you know the one - it says, "I am so disappointed in you"....always made me feel like crud and much more of a punishment than if she had grounded me.
She is my best friend now and is getting her payback watching me go through all of this with my daughter. Karma is a Bi***!

man...please I never got the disappointed look. The look I got was, If you do....
The truth is Mom did not have to discipline me she just had to tell Dad and knowing that I was pretty good.
lol...My mom wore the discipline pants in the house with 3 girls.
One time I yelled out that I was going to run away. My mom went in the kitchen, under the kitchen sink, took out two hefty bags, went into my bedroom and started putting all of my clean and dirty clothes in them. She then sat the bags outside and told me to get out. I had sat outside for 3 hours until she was ready to go to bed. Needless to say those words never parted my lips again.
