Set expectations accordingly
This too shall pass-make this your mantra
Trust your instinct
Make parenthood enjoyable
Live YOUR life, not other peoples

Go with the flow, because things rarely go according to plan.

There is no such thing as a perfect parent; so don't stress over it.

Choose your battles.

Don't sweat the small stuff.

Being a parent is the hardest job you'll ever love.

Cherish your children and spend as much time with them as possible because they will grow up far too quickly.

take care of yourself FIRST!!

I can't tell you how many times I would have my family decked out like a magazine cover and then I would be bringing up the rear looking like the bride of Frankenstein with my hair flying, my slip tucked in my pantyhose and most likely dragging a long piece of toilet paper stuck to my shoe- I would spend so much time making sure they looked perfect and had everything they needed that I never had time to get myself ready for wherever we we heading off to-or getting ready for- Easter Sunday- Christmas pictures- family weddings etc..-(You will thank me for this later- and you're welcome

Time is more valuable than anything money can buy. Read to them every day. You can't spoil them with too much love.

It is more important to show kindness to your children than to strangers.

If you want your children to be healthy, you need to lead by example.

Cherish the small moments.

Always kiss them goodnight & tell them you love them.

Even if your child has vomited in the goldfish bowl (again) and there is fire coming out of your butt: hug them. Tomorrow isn't promised.

Don't automatically go into defensive mode and insist your child did nothing wrong before you hear all sides of a situation.
