That's probably a good thing considering you think kids pollute the world.

Because all of us moms should have ESP and know that a good action (going to an AA meeting) will result in a bad outcome (child getting burned).

I agree. People act like it's a widespread problem but it's something that I very rarely see.

But there is control and then no control. it's just how life works. I also think that control is good, but control is not ethical. Ever.
I haven't understood a single one of your comments regarding control. Are you saying that controlling one's kids is unethical.

Would it not be a good idea if AA arranges some kind of childcare service where someone could watch the child in another room while their alcoholic mother tries to get help? A 2yr old is not going to understand what the meeting is about but a 10 yr old child would. I don't think its appropriate to take a child to an AA meeting and I stand by that.

She could have found someone to watch her child while she went to the meeting so she could CONCENTRATE on getting sober. Anyways I don't want to go off topic anymore. This thread is about children at restaurants not children at AA meetings.

Excuse me, but this other parent does not always think my way of doing things is the best. Parenting taken seriously is a hard, full time job. I try to do my best, but I'm not ashamed to say I make mistakes. I've admired many other mothers for their parenting skills. Privately scold other's children? No, I had enough dealing w/ my own, thankyou very much.
