When I did it my mother didn't look at it for over 5 years. She stopped talking to me for a few weeks too.

If MY daughter came home with one I'd laugh in her face and say oh your screwed now, look how "great" mine looks after all these years. Then I'd proceed ground the heck out of her a revoke most privileges a month for each inch of tattoo.

This is assuming she was under age of course if she's of age I'd give her my honest opinion of the artists work. And beg her never to get one in a location that's visible with professional apparel.

It depends on how hold my daughter is. If she's under age, then I'd have the place that did it pay to have it removed. If my daughter is 18 or older I'd talk to her to see what she was thinking....

How old were you when you got one?

Part of the deal with it is her telling you she won't have it removed.

I'd have said, "I hope you had J--- do that for you and he gave you a discount." (Good family friend who is a well-known tattoo artist who charges $300.00 bucks an hour.)

How old is she? Did she get it at a reputable place? Who paid for it? Does she often tell you, "Deal with it!"?

No possibility. Our kids ae all terrified of needles. When they were younger, we had to drag them screaming and crying into the doctor office for their annual shots. They woudl not want a tat anyway. They are much more conservative than I am.

My daughters are 8 so i doubt this would happen lol. One time cody *my namesake * told me to deal with it when she wouldn't clean her room. The next day her room had nothing in it but a pillow and a blanket with a note from mom "Deal With It"...and she got grounded .
