So I just went to collect my daughter (8) from a sleep-over birthday party. I was a bit nervous about this party as I know my daughter is a good kid and unlikely to get drawn into shennanigans, but the other 5 girls there are pretty naughty girls. Anyway, apart from not getting much sleep, someone who would not fess up drew on someone else's face with a sharpie while everyone was asleep. Only problem is the victim and her family have family pictures scheduled this morning. I thought it was hilarious, the other mother, not so much.
oh no! I'd be PO'ed!

That's so considerate of you! Around here, neighbors start lawn mowers and chainsaws at 8am on the weekends with no regard for people who like to sleep late.

Hopes we have a neighbor like that, but it's more like 7. Drives me nuts, and he's retentive so the blower is going non-stop.

Today's is our 17th anniversary, and as a special treat we get to go to kid activities the entire day and evening. Yay us! Such is life. It's all good, we'll do something special another time.

Yay, Zimbo! Happy anniversary!!

I lucked out today. DH wanted to clean out the garage. But it's "community garage sale day" and I said, "We are not putting everything on the driveway. Unless you want me to sell all your stuff from high school." So he took me out for lunch at a cool little Mexican restaurant with the best margaritas on the planet.

That's funny! My DS and I got so tired of the overload of stuff in the garage last year that we cleaned it out ourselves and threw tons of bits, bolts, chains, crap away. We knew DH would never miss any of it. And he didn't complain we were doing it. I think it was so overwhelming to him that he didn't want to deal with it.
