Fast forward a couple of months back home and I've got a bad cough. DH gives me his "Special Australian" cough drops. And I'M flying around the room. Silly things had a narcotic in them. I'll admit we hoarded them because they worked great!

LOL...you know, there was no flying around the room with those cough max melts, but I STILL hoarded them like crazy! I discovered, before we ran out, that they were no longer making them. Therefore, unless you were coughing up a lung....and I could see a piece of that lung when I looked at your throat (okay, exaggerating a bit), you could have something that was not as good! LOL The worst part of it is that most "cough drops" only contain menthol..nothing that actually works for serious coughs. Ugh.... Dextromethorphan works. Mucinex-DM is our latest fave around here. It's expensive, but it works.

Have any of you been to Dialogue in the Dark? We went last summer, and it was incredible. They have added Dining in the Dark starting this summer where top Atlanta chefs provide meals that you eat in complete darkness, so I think we'll have to go back. I see it is coming to NYC for those that are close. I would highly recommend it, it is one of those life-altering experiences.

Hmmm...that sounds interesting....nothing even remotely close to Denver though....
I am jealous of all the dining opportunities in other cities. Denver isn't really known for having a wide selection of fine dining....and TBH, we don't "dine" too often at this point...Maybe after kids all graduate from college and we have money?

I don't think I could eat a meal completely in complete darkness. Sounds messy.

It is very strange being in absolute darkness. The simulation is really well done though, and each group has a visually impaired guide. Getting to know her was fantastic. Strangest part was definitely the fact that you have a cane in one hand, and with the other hand you are grabbing and feeling everything around you including neighbors "bits and pieces". After the first few sorry's we all decided it was going to happen, just move along. But it was pretty funny.
"I didn't do it" threw a handful of coins in the toilet, and "trimmed" her bangs. AND I keep thinking it's Thursday today. Weird day.

I just refilled the birdfeeder....it used to be when I did that, it took about 20 minutes for the birds to come back. Now some of the birds didn't leave the tree - and they were back at the feeder in about a minute after I left.....
It was close to 75 here today! I watered the trees and the places under the mulch where I knew I planted daylillies last summer - if I dug down, I could see the tiny green shoots starting to come up. I covered them back up after I watered though so the rabbits wouldn't eat them - they always eat down my baby hostas too....

Beautiful day here too! I got a pot of shamrocks yesterday. Put them on the kitchen table all nice and pretty for St. Paddy's Day. Walked in and found the cat up on the table eating them.
Bad kitty.
Sooo..... "Special Snowflake" is an insult? Un PC? An internet no-no?

There's a resort here where you can rent them to ride around. They have a class and you can see all the tourists riding them. I would like to try one some time just for the ducks of it.
