Good for you Big Blue. One of life's lessons that our children must learn is that when we as parents make mistakes we acknowledge those - its a great example to set.

And all the items mysteriously disappeared over the holidays & made it into the trunk of a siblings car. My mom said that was her gift to us & it was by far sometimes the best CMas gift. She'd also put coupons in my stocking.
Would never begrudge my parents if they decided to take a trip during the holidays, but their home was & still is one of my favorite places to go. Has nothing to do w/ gifts or getting something. It's just home. And I appreciate my mom & dad being up on holidays no matter how they were feeling. That did indeed leave an impression on me.

What wonderful gifts, and practical! You truly are blessed with such parents.
