kid shows for preschoolers
What show, for those of us with preschoolers, do your kids watch?
My dd's favorite show to watch is called Mustard Pancakes. It has a woman who lives with a family of puppets and sings and teaches lessons and frienship and getting along. It's cute. The songs are overly sugary either, so that's nice for me.

My kids like everything on Sprout and Noggin. Most especially, Noddy, Caillou, Angelina Ballerina, Dora The Explorer, Diego and Maggie and the Ferocious Beast. Ok, Mom likes Maggie!

My kids love Little Bear, Wow Wow Wubzy and Wonder Pets. I love them to watch Little Bear, he always has such good manners! And Wonder Pets really gets them to use teamwork (especially when it's clean up time - we just start singing the teamwork song and they are off and running!)

I think DragonTales is one of the best.

My kids quit watching Sprout when they canned Melanie Martinez. In fact, we canned Sprout when they sacked her and got rid of the "let's make a craft" dance. Present favorites are on Boomerang... Tom and Jerry is the flavor of the month.

Our son's favorites are The Wiggles, Higglytown Heros and Jojo's Circus. They are all on Playhouse Disney (mornings on the Disney channel). They all teach life lessons -
The Wiggles - teaches importance of music and imagination. They do alot with beginning counting and have some Spanish and Italian in them. He loves to play his guitar with them while they are singing.
Higglytown Heros - Teaches about town heros such as the ac repair man, crane operator, police dog, crossing guards... He likes the music and can sometimes tell you who the hero is. Good for community awareness.
Jojo's Circus - does alot on getting up and moving and being a good friend (this is on earlier so we usually miss it)
He also likes Elmo's World and Sesame Street, I think they are on PBS still.

My youngest loves Caillou. We have to watch it everyday. They also have in on demand so we can watch it anytime he wants. Second on the list is Curious George. He just loves it.

Same here, we cannot go a day without the 'Goodnight show'. I won't change cable companies if we can't get Sprout. I love Kipper myself!

My kids absolutely love Mustard Pancakes!! It reminds me of Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers combined. The puppet characters are absolutely adorable and I love the fact that its educational and teaches strong family / friendship values.
