By the way, we are in the middle of tornado warning #3 for the night. Second mega storm of the week, and the eye will be over us from 9pm till 3am. It's going to be a long night.
Stay safe Zimbo....I cried this morning, reading about the tornado in Ark and Okl that claimed 6 lives... get hunkered in and stay safe!
Glad you feel better about things. I was thinking of you today. Believe it or not there comes a day when you don't wake up at 1am wondering if you are ruining their lives. You wake up at 1am wondering if they are ruining their lives.
Then you put a big ol' sock in your mouth when they call.
Let's have a big round of applause for Beachmel's son graduating from Boot Camp!!!
Now let's have another big round of applause for Beachmel and Mr. Beachmel for surviving!!
LOL.....thanks so much....AND for the applause! LOL
Also...the comment of awake at 1am? How true the statement is, "You stay awake wondering if YOU'RE ruining their lives", THEN "You lie awake wondering if THEY'RE ruining their lives" OMG....truer words were never spoken. LOL Actually..I think I do most of my worrying while awake, then I'm so exhausted, I sleep like a log...only to start worrying again over my morning coffee!! LOL Then...I take a deep breath and remember that my parents worried too...and I screwed up and turned out stronger and wiser for those screw ups! LOL Somehow, most of us do survive and I believe that our kids will too.
Oh no, Zimbochick! Stay safe! Tornadoes are so scary- we had one on Sunday night. Luckily, there was no major damage in our town besides power outages. Check this out.. I live about 25 miles from where the funnel cloud in this video was. The sirens just sound so eerie! Plus, the power was out so all the light you see is from the lightning.
Do not get me started on Don and Phil. I have been in love with Phil Everly since June of 1970 when I saw a live taping of their summer TV show. I adore that man. Thankfully, DH knew that when I married him. And I have stories. (Including the night Phil busted his guitar across a Fender amp at the John Wayne Theater at Knott's Berry Farm and declared the Everly Brothers dead and I went home and cried like a baby.)
How on earth did you pick that?
Eat your heart out Dew - I have KISSED Phil Everly !!! Yes, it's completely true - my best schoolfriend and I travelled to the Finsbury Park Astoria (in London) to see them play live. I think we hitch-hiked. Would have been either 1964 or 1965, cost us 5 shillings (about 50 cents) - and after the show we both went round to the stage door and waited for them to emerge. By the time they came out, only three or four fans were still there and I managed to throw my arms around Phil and plant a big smackeroo on his cheek. I don't know which of us was more surprised!
Funnily enough, my best schoolfriend never got over her crush and is still I think the Prez of the British Everly Bros. fan club. She travelled to the US just a few years ago (to Bowling Green KY I think) to attend a special concert the EB's put on for their fans. She got to meet them, talk to them and have several photos taken with them. She's still a quivering mess now.
clapping for beachmel! Hoping for the best for zimbo!
