For the floor, I think I'm leaning towards the travertine. Hubby is going back to Home Depot with me shortly. We're going to make a decision tonight.
Go with the travertine! My neighbor just had her kitchen floors done with it- it looks amazing!

So I was reading the Facebook page "Pictures and Documents found after the April 27, 2011 Tornadoes" and it was so sad. Has anyone seen it?

Our anniversary is in a few weeks. 24 years.
I've only been married for three years and have no kids, so I'm not an exception yet. We did get married young, though, and have never regretted it. Everyone says you should never get married under 25, and I'm not even that old yet. Haha.

Tonight was one of the nights I've always wondered what would be like as my kids have been growing up- I got to see my oldest dressed up in her gorgeous blue dress and head off to prom. What a milestone It's going by way too fast!

I haven't seen that. Makes my heart heavy just thinking about it, so I'm not sure I could handle looking.

I grew up in Nebraska where the Platte River meets the Missouri. Every year there were the flood scares, but nothing horrible would happen.

Well, when I was 15 there was a night where it wouldn't stop raining. We got out just in time. We lost everything. And the water didn't recede for weeks. Just disgusting. After that my mom decided to just pick up and move and that's when we went to Texas. Beginning of the worst year of my life. Even still - I think we had it easy compared to what those people went through and the terror of tornadoes.[/quote]

Straw - I just finished looking at the pictures my friend sent me of her daughter - her prom was last night. They all looked so beautiful!

Meanwhile - my son was playing Halo in the basement with his best friend. So I guess prom is very different when you have a girl!

He says he might go next year. Unfortunately, this is where his over practical side might be kicking in too much - as in his mind, he doesn't see the whole point. Then again, he might be thinking differently next year if he has a girl friend.
