Yeah, be safe. I love road trips as long as I don't have to drive. My husband loves driving, so he does the driving. We have had some nice times driving places. We've driven to the central coast numerous times. We've driven to Kansas and back. We've driven from Illinois to California (the long way through Texas not through the Rockies.)

Woohoo. My husband is probably getting a promotion. While he's in school still, he's working at the baseball stadium. During baseball season he works a lot of hours and has great pay. He's been a grill cook mostly, and he said they asked him to be sort of the assistant manager of his food place thing. It would mean a raise. Yay. It's good because when it isn't baseball season his hours go way down. He does get to work many of the hockey games at the arena across the way, but the games are shorter and much fewer.

Good for him! That's great, psr13!

I hope the raise off-sets the overtime he won't receive as a manager.

Even if it's less money during baseball season, it might be worth it to have a higher wage during off season.

He'll still get overtime. It'll still be salary. He has actually worked overtime, too, which is unusual these days. He's a hard worker, and it definitely gets noticed.

Happy Mother's Day to a wonderful group of moms. I hope you are all spoiled rotten!

My Mother's Day started last night, my kids made up an interactive bedtime story/performance for me, then I got to sleep with all the webkinz (a real honor ), and then DH and the kids made me a very delidious breakfast of salmon, sour cream, and caper omelettes, and cinnamon french toast with agave syrup. Very yummy. Now we are off for a hike.

I hope you all have a wonderful day.

psr - good luck to your hubby!

Zimbo, that sounds wonderful!

Happy Mother's Day everyone! We are getting ready to leave, but watching the parade of hot air balloons float over the house. Hope everyone's weather is as nice as ours.

Have a wonderful time coop. When we lived in Seattle we had balloons over our house most days, they are so beautiful to watch.

Happy Mother's Day everyone! Lovely day here. Will probably have breakfast out on the deck once everyone gets up then who knows what. With everyone home, we may do yardwork then take Macie on a walk....That would be a gift to me since I then could enjoy the yard without thinking" OMG, I SO need to......(fill in the blank)"
