That's pretty much what we did when we had a cat and everyone was wanting a dog. The cat was old and had some health issues and I didn't think it was fair to ask her to put up with a puppy. We let her live her last years in peace. THEN got the puppy.

I NEED to stop procrastinating and tackle the mountain of papers on my dining room table. It's so bad I feel like taking before and after pics.

My husband thinks we need one for camp. It can't be a car because the huge rocks in the driveway on the hills jut out too high for a vehicle that sits low. But we won't use truck for everyday use because gas prices are so high. Basically, this means that whatever behicle we buy for camp is being bought just to sit in our garage for when we use it a few times a year, like the one that is in the garage now that hubby wants to replace. We don't need one for everyday winter driving because we're good winter drivers.

It just seems like a waste of money to me. One year, we went to camp after a blizzard in the winter. We parked the truck at the end of the driveway and pulled everything into camp on a sled for a mile. I don't see why we can't just carry everything into camp on a regular basis.

That's an idea. Taking pictures might motivate you!

I made it up to the attic an hour ago. It was too hot to accomplish anything. I need to start early in the morning tomorrow while it's still cool outside.

Okay someone search my posts on city-data and point me to the post where I wrote that I've been infertile, please? Cause for the life of me, I can't find one. Which would make sense - since I was more fertile than a rabbit, which is why I opted for a tubal ligation

Maybe they consider you infertile because of your tubal. Or maybe you once posted "I can't have children" or "I can't get pregnant" without clarifying it was due to a tubal.

I thought Anon was perfectly clear. People just need to read more carefully and without making assumptions based on what they "think" they know.

No idea what was perfectly clear or not. I haven't read any of the threads Anon is currently discussing pregnancy or fertility or whatever.

I simply guessed why someone might think she posted something like that a long time ago. <shrug>

I've never been infertile. I understand infertility, and I am able to empathize with people who are infertile. I don't bring people I know into these discussions because THEIR story is frankly no one's business here. Bugs the hell out of me when people challenge my understanding of situations, when I will not divulge personal information about someone else, to explain.

Suffice it to say, it's possible that I'm a lesbian in a committed relationship, whose female partner wanted to have children, but was unable. If that was the situation, I'd say I am rather qualified to understand infertility. As both a woman, AND a life partner of a woman who is experiencing this situation.

Now, that isn't the case (or is it?)...but you can see why I find it offensive for people to twist what I say, take it completely out of context, and then challenge my "credentials" to say what I say.

Mostly it's just me, being irritated, that a couple of people will intentionally derail threads just to get into a pissing match with another poster.

the huge pile of crap has now migrated from the dining room table to the living room floor and into 5 separate piles. It looks worse now than it did when I started!
