Anyone read about the big controvery surrounding Rihanna's new music video? I guess late teens/young adults are her target audience, I'd love to know what they think about it. Here's an interesting article:

Yep.. I'm here- with an empty wallet! In the past few week, the transmission on my van went out, our dog injured his leg, the main computer I use for work crashed with trojan virus AND our water heater broke and leaked on the carpet. Can you hear my sniffles?!! Anyone got a spare winning lottery ticket laying around?

Good morning, sunshines!

T minus 24 hrs until the moving truck arrives - I am in packing hades. Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of life, but holy cow, I am a tad stressed being in the middle of it now!

Strawflower - so sorry to hear about your week - I will never understand why expensive crises all tend to cluster together

((((Strawflower)))) I hate how expensive stuff always breaks at the same time!

Is it possible your homeowners insurance will cover the carpet?

eastwesteastagain, I hope you have a safe and eventless move. Where are you moving from/to?

Thanks!

Hopes - we're just moving across town - about 5 minutes away, so not as bad as it could be. We're about 15 minutes outside of Philly. You're a PA person, too, right? Are we neighbors?

MM - Thanks - I keep telling myself the same exact thing!

You can do that! Just hang in there! It will be over soon!

Moving is always a hassle. But we've been in the same place for 18 years. I think we could benefit from the purging done for a move.

I should just pretend I'm moving and start throwing things away!

Neighbors via 300 miles. I'm in Pittsburgh. But that's neighbor-like by internet standards!

Good Morning All!

Straw - sorry , that pretty much blows!

Ewag - good luck with the move .

I'm trying to develop some enthusiasm for our camping trip this weekend with record high temperatures predicted. I can see myself sleeping in the lake.

The upside to a heat wave is how cold normal summer temps feel after the heat wave is over. I'm freezing this morning. My son has one of those big Indian/Mexican wool ponchos and I'm wearing it as I type.

But that doesn't make the suffering any easier while you endure the heat. Glad to hear there's a lake where you'e camping. I'm sure you will be spending lots of time in the water. Can you pack one of those pool lounge floats so you can float around wearing your sun glasses and big straw hat?
