On a different note, the Strawflower family will be in Colorado for a week beginning Saturday! We can't wait to explore your beautiful state!
Go to Boulder.
Try to go somewhere in the mountains.
In Lone Tree, there's a place called Costa Vida, great mexican food.
Sky Venture colorado- indoor skydiving, very cool, try it if you can.
Garden of the Gods
Any attraction down in co springs.
Lucky you! I love CO. Hope you all have a terrific time!!
Thanks Dew! I think I mentioned this before, but my in-laws have a place in Aspen so we are going to join them there. We debated for awhile on where to take a summer vacation and when they called inquiring about us coming out for a week, it sounded perfect. I love the mountains and everyone gets along very well including the kids, so I'm incredibly excited!
That's my main focus as well. Plus it's amazing how during the year between 3 and 4 how much MissFR has become ready to have actual friends of her own, not just kids she plays with on a casual basis at the park or whatever. I think that's important too.
Ack! Just got about 50 pages of paperwork in the mail from DS's school! Due next week. While I appreciate that they are being thorough, holy cow, he's going to preschool not outer space!!
Something tells me this is par for the course as the kids get older??
ETA: Have a great time, straw! That sounds lovely!

I'm not sure if that will fit into our schedule- we are flying in on Saturday, taking in a Rockies game, spending the night in Denver and the heading out early Sunday morning to drive to Aspen, but thanks for the ideas!

Bring mosquito repellent, bring LOTS of it.
I got eaten alive last night I have them all over my arms, my the back of my shoulders, basically anywhere that wasn't covered by my tank top.

You should have a great time. When DH and I were first married we used to go there. It was full of rich hippies then.
(We were not the rich hippies. We were the ones ordering the hamburger special and an extra plate, lol.) I think I said here we used to take the lift up the mountain and then hike. Worst sunburn of my life doing that in July.
