Yes, we move the leaves to other areas on the property, we have a ravine and most go in there, but we have to get them away from the house and any areas that the kids or dog use. The copperheads are just to difficult to see in leaf piles. We used to compost a lot when we lived in Seattle. We had a giant composter where we threw yard waste and fruit and veggie waste. It's a little harder to do here because of the snakes, they get in the composter, and you can't use the fruit and veg, we have too many raccoons, possums, chipmunks, mice, rats, squirrels for that.

Ewww. Never mind!

We have a very small back yard. I throw grass clipping and leaves in a pile and then let the dog go to town. She's great at turning it all in to dirt!

We need a poll on what kind of homemade ice cream they made first.

I'm going with vanilla with some mini Hershey kisses thrown in and a nice fruit topping.

That really makes me want to go out and get an ice cream maker.

Let's see - it's a birthday, so I say sprinkles will be involved.
