We knew our neighbors in CA also....in fact I still exchange Christmas cards with the families I babysat for way back when.....my sister still keeps in touch with her friends from there and my mom visits our old neighborhood whenever she goes to California (numerous times per year since she misses her friends and neighbors so much)....I could say the same about Ohio, Iowa and numerous other places.

Were they on your cat's bottom?

Aaargh my internet has been down off and on all weekend, and today. PITA.

My apologies if I missed anything, this thread moves too fast to skim properly.

Power is out this afternoon, that's always special! We heard the lightning strike something close. One would think I was actually torturing the children, spoiled beasties.

This mental picture slays me!

One of our "kittens" is so big, that if anything got lost in/on his bottom it would be gone for good. He literally oinks when he bathes.

Work was slow again today...makes me nervous....

Stopped at the library on the way home and got some books and a movie. Charlie Wilson's War....we'll have to watch that later on. Also picked up a new wrist brace for my carpal tunnel pain. The one I have I've had since I was pregnant with DS and it's not very comfy...all that painting last week has really irritated my wrist. I'm hoping with a more comfy wrist brace that I'll be able to wear it longer and get over this quicker. Also got some Aleve instead of Advil...

Funny about all the kitties...our cat was a chubster also....she was not very picky either. Never turned her nose up at food and would wake us up in the morning to feed her....learned to open the cabinet where the catfood was kept....

Zimbo....hows the pup this afternoon? Hopefully continuing her positive trend.

Dew - between the Wedding and the Draft...you'll be busy Thursday and Friday this week! Same here then our anniv is Sat..not sure yet if we have plans for that or, if the weather is nice may just throw something on the grill and have cocktails on the deck....which is right up my alley.

mm - sorry about your wrist. Hopefully resting it will get it feeling better. I can relate as I have problems off and on.

Thanks jk....I've had issues off and on also but it hasn't really bothered me in years. I'm trying to rest it and immobilize it ....I slept with the wrist brace on and it felt fine in the morning..until holding my coffee cup then blowing my hair dry...I'm not a patient person by nature (shocking, I know...LOL) so that's not helping either.....

DH still liking his job? DS ready for school to be out?

My DS is trying to sell his car and buy a truck. We'll see how that goes.

Thanks for asking. There was a bit of a shocker at DH work week before last with his boss leaving. So he's trying to be careful on making judgments regarding the new person coming in. But there is a lot of drama going on.

DS is ready for school to be out. Is yours? ACT is this Wednesday.

My DH misses having a truck. Every so often I do think it would be handy.
