I left home just after I turned 17, went to college which I paid for all on my own. I worked my ass off. I shared an apartment, which I paid for on my own, didn't have a car for a few years because I couldn't afford one. I caught the bus, and walked. Some months the money was very tight, and we came up with all kinds of ways to get creative with brown rice. When I got paid, we splurged and bought meat to go with the rice. My first love, who I met in my first year of college, died in our final year after battling a long, horrible illness. It was very, very hard.

We don't answer you because you are a whiny cry-baby who refuses to grow up. All the people here have got somewhere because we have worked for it, we have sacrificed, and we have had our share of the good with the bad. You have received a lot of great advice here over time, but you always have excuses, and thenj more excuses for why you shouldn't follow the advice, or for why you will fail before you even try.

Grow up.
Pretty much sums it up. You started posting here going on 2years ago complaining about your mom making you take some college classes while living rent free. How unfair life had been to you compared to EVERYONE else. 20 months later not much has changed except you've finagled a brand spankin' new car out of the deal. I actually have rarely seen such narcicism. Seek professional help. The sooner the better.

Whatever, if you guys don't even reply to what I say now then there won't be anything for me to thank for, i'll just end up posting, no response, and thus a vicious cycle, I won't be able to break out of till SOMEONE replys.
And thanks hopes for the links.

Yay me up at 6:01am and already in a foul mood.

Txt - the patient ladies here don't want your thanks; they just want you to listen to their advice and learn to help yourself. If you rely on others to break you out of your various funks, you're in for a life of misery. You have ears, eyes and a brain. Use them to get yourself where you want to be. You're the only one who can do it.

Peope have replied and tried to help for almost 2 years and we're tired of banging our heads against a wall. You are uninterested in listening and seeing that the answers you need are not the answers you want but they are the answers nonetheless. You don't want to do anything but what you want to do and you are quite willing to wait around and whine until things somehow magically fall into place. Good luck with that. When you accept ownership and responsibility for your life and your situation, things will be different and so will our responses.

Yes, txt, what Kobber and mm said.

Listen, I don't want to pile on here, or gang up on you, so please take what I'm about to say in the spirit I intend it...

This thread is a chat thread, not a wah woe is me thread. Although we often vent about things, we don't whine on a continual basis and call that a conversation.

You seem to express very little interest in discussing anything that's not about you, and that's not much fun for others after a while.

I'm truly sorry you haven't had the greatest life with your family up till now, but you're 21 and as it has been pointed out to you time and time again, only you can get youself going from here.

We have a had time seeing you waste your life. Life is short. You may be 21 now, but trust me, 41 is just around the corner. I'm worried you're going to stil be in your mom's basement. It's frustrating.

Go get your health sorted out like Hopes told you, and get on with living your life.

This hit the nail on the head.

txt - I'm not sure what you want us to say at this point. Not sure what you are looking for.

Anywho -

Good morning all!

We are going over to the CU campus this afternoon with our son to talk to a counselor. Kind of exciting. Hopefully he can get some guidance regarding the direction he needs to go, and I've got a lot of questions too regarding stuff in general. I'm worried we're going to miss something we should be doing at this point in the game.

txt, you don't need to thank me. Just hearing that you took a piece of advice to heart and followed it would be nice.
