No, I've had house guests that have only just left, so I haven't got to it yet.
Might finish it tonight.

Let me know when you do.
I finished it this afternoon, but I'll withhold my thoughts until you are done.

Just the other day I told MrFR that we needed more hampers. I think it's because I need somewhere to put the dirty clothes and somewhere else to keep the clean clothes until I stop procrastinating and put them away.
|
That's sort of my problem. When I start doing laundry, all of my baskets are filled with dirty clothes and there's nowhere to put the folded clean clothes. In order to load the clean clothes, I dump the dirty clothes on the laundry room floor and then there is a huge mountain. But I hate doing that because I don't like our clothes laying on the basement floor if I don't get the laundry finished.

How is three enough? I already had 4 extremely large laundry baskets before I went to buy more today!
In all fairness, I basically lost a laundry basket when TK moved into the house. I gave him one to keep for his own use.

I'm doing that this weekend. As I wash the winter clothes for storage, I'm tossing things. Alternately, as I unpack the summer clothes from storage, I'm also trying to toss things.

I hate putting it away too. I decided that it was because my laundry baskets were huge. There are a ton of clothes in one basket. My solution was to buy 3 medium sized baskets today. I won't feel overwhelmed to put a basket load away.
My solution is to fold laundry and put it in each person's basket. Then the basket becomes their responsibility to put the laundry away. I don't like folding the clothes, putting them in the basket, and then sorting the folded clothes into piles. That seems to be what makes putting clothes away a chore. When I have had all my baskets empty and designated one basket per person when folding out of the dryer, I have never had a problem with getting the laundry put away.

hmmm....when I do laundry (usually on a weekend day) I empty the hampers into the upstairs hallway where it gets separated. I use the laundry baskets in a rotation - there is always one in front of the dryer waiting for the clothes to come out of the dryer; one to take the clean clothes upstairs to each person's room; and then to bring down another load of clothes from upstairs and one with the dirty clothes waiting to go into the washer. The problem lies when I get out of my routine and do a load or two here and there and midweek end up with clean clothes that stay in the laundry basket in someone's room...Between Easter and Mother's Day, I got out of my routine and am overwhelmed at the thought of sorting out the clothes, getting my baskets back, doing laundry and putting it away. I'd much rather sit here on CD.

I think I like mm's idea, have 5 laundry baskets, and no chest of drawers, or bureus (?), or any of those other things, you just have folded clothes in baskets and dirty clothes in baskets. Awesome. Hey, maybe I .....
Newsflash... MrFR just got rear ended coming back from dropping our friend at the station. Balls. He's pulling over to make sure our car is OK and exchange info. He's not hurt, luckily.

In the category of it's not one thing it's another:
I just went out, minding my own business, to hang the newly-filled hummingbird feeder. Looked at the side of the house and there's a quarter size hole. Look around and there are a bunch of holes. Big holes.
Woodpeckers! I'm seeing a trip to Home Depot and a little chat about stucco filler with a guy in an orange apron. Rats.

I miss being at home.
Well, I miss the comforts of home.
I'm sleeping on a twin bed here and I now have a knot the size of a bar of soap in my neck and my face is numb....
And some assclown from AT&T unhooked her wireless so I am using my phone as a modem for my laptop and trying to fix all her stuff back to normal.
She needs knee surgery and can't get it because my great grandmother can't cook or drive and she does all the cooking and driving, so I might stay here and take care of her while she's recovering.
She knows the owner of a restaurant here and she's been trying to get me to move down here and been introducing me to people in hopes I'll get a job and stay. But I technically have a job interview on Monday and the guy also knows the chief of police for one department and some sergeant for another and says he can get me headed in the right place for police academy.
So I don't know but if I DO move down here...a new bed is a must. One is hard as a rock and one has one of those egg crate looking foam things on it. Both make my back and neck just scream in pain. New bed is a must, definitely a must, if I do that is. Oh and a door....I need a room with a door. This whole open loft deal is driving me bonkers I want some privacy.
Yep so thats the 411 on everything.
