Oh gee, thanks! Now that you put it that way, I can make stuff up just to mess with you. Hmmmm.....

Zim - I would have done exactly the same thing. You're better off letting that happen now and her learning she needs to be in control of what she needs to get done now rather than later.

The jump from elementary to middle school is a big step and being able to self manage before they get there is a good thing.

There are good things too - no one posts about them though. Even during the worst of DD's teendom...(cough senior year cough)...She wasn't a raving lunatic 100% of the time. And she never got in any kind of real trouble. Just drama. I generally knew I could count on her when the chips were down. There were a couple times when I got really sick and I can tell you who was the one who was by my side - even doing the nastiest of jobs - DD.

Morning all! Took a quick walk before it gets too hot. Found an empty box of Zig Zag papers in the street. I didn't know anybody in my neighborhood was that exciting, lol.

You're hillarious! Your neighbors and their double lives. I'll bet it's the neighbor you would least suspect!

Am I the only one here who is TOTALLY out of shape? My entire body aches from using muscles I haven't used in a while! I need to start doing weights and stretches before it's too late!

I was really sore after using the electric hedge trimmer last week. You nailed it. It's using the muscles you haven't used. I have a stationary exercise bike but it does nothing for the upper arms. I need to get the hand weights out from under the bed.

I was thinking the same thing last night. At least you know yours are under the bed. I have no idea where mine are. I'll probably buy new ones!

Well, I think I'm going to walk to the mailbox then break for lunch. Thankfully, I finished what I HAD to do this morning because the Mattie Saga will be taking up way too much of my afternoon if I let it.

Lawdy, I'm glad I'm not in her shoes.

Broke apart and transplanted some hostas this morning, returned a few things at Kohl's, cleaned up the kitchen.....and yes, kept up with Mattie's thread. That whole scenario is a nightmare. I hope her DH drives up and has a man-to-man chat with him.
