Lawdy, I'm glad I'm not in her shoes.
Lawdy indeed.

I think this whole relationship is going to remain a mess until he realizes somewhere down the line he's made a huge mistake and gets divorced. And then it'll take who knows how long to come back to mom and dad because his pride will be hurt and he won't be able to face them. Crikey, what a cluster.

The Mattie saga, sad. Let me say after living in the south for some time, there are definitely some (yes generalizing) people who really do put more stock into appearances than reality. Houses are more important than homes, church membership is more important than sprirtual health, being seen is more important than being, and weddings are more important than marriages. If one of my children chose a mate with such superficial values, I would be deeply disappointed.

Freaking A - DS has the flu! 2 days left of school, swim team, events and committments out the yazoo. Guess I should have gotten the kids late flu shots after all?

Sorry.

I just got a letter from my bestest friend the Pagan. She wants to know if we got Raptured. If she doesn't hear from me in a week she says she'll figure the house is empty and she's packin up to move here. She says our stuff is better and she can learn to live with the heat. LOL.

I don't know if the mods read this thread or not (committing the cardinal sin of NOT reading through the thread before I post! ), but I just want to say, wow, thanks for what you do! It seems like quite a few folks are taking things way personally today, and getting testy. It has to be hard to keep up here! Maybe it's the planets or stars or something, but it seems worse today than usual. I appreciate what you folks do!

I am/was. I think I'm actually exercising enough to feel it now. I try to mix it up so I use different muscles. I think I'm going to start doing Zumba this summer.

Well, I'm in the middle of the annual "when can we visit" conversation with my MIL. It's not that I mind if they visit. It's that I plan ahead, and they don't. Then she gets bent out of shape when we can't accommodate their schedule. Of the 8 weeks the kids are out of school, I have given her 2 3-week windows, and nothing seems to work for her.

Yes...trying to use under utilized muscles here too. I need to make a bigger effort to hit the workout room at lunch. My coworkers will shame me into it. They had me on the eliptical last week

I honestly think my butt has spread 2" just from sitting and reading the Mattie posts.
