Macie in the water. This is her favorite thing to do in the water. Just lay in it...

DH is bathing her now....

I have an uncle who does this as a "health" drink. He drinks a big glass, hot, every morning. Religiously. He's up in his 90's and still going strong last I heard.

Hope everyone has had nice weather this holiday weekend. For some reason it dropped into the 80's here. DS and DH went to a friend's to play cowboy but we plan on bar-b-quing later. I thought it would be too hot but we lucked out. Yay. Haven't bar-b-q'd in a long time.

Thanks Dew....she is a good girl....Going to the dogpark is just the best. It's a totally happy place. Lots of people just walking and dogs just happy to be there, running around, in and out of the water....Everything from Mastiffs to mini doxies....Plus, I'll have a tired and content dog tonight. Not to mention clean thanks to DH.....It is sunny out still so she can lay on the deck to dry in the sun. Doesn't get much better than that.

Our big container is filled with Country Time right now. We also use the big cans. It is about 1/2 way empty right now, so I may add some sweet tea to it and make the rest of it Arnold Palmers. We do that a lot as a good way of switching it up and not getting tired of the lemonade before it is gone.

I also agree with you about the bad lemonades. I had a really good lemonade at a fresh squeezed stand at a street fair last month. Oh. That was good. Oh man. Now my powdered stuff doesn't taste nearly as good as it did 5 minutes ago.

I'm sitting on my front porch and my neighbors across the street started singing happy birthday, and at the end ripped into a beautiful gospel three part harmony. What a fab thing. I wish my family could break into impromptu harmony. That would be really cool.

Ooh, Zim, I meant to tell you that's a cool turtle pic. MissFR loved it. She loves anything animal. I guess all kids do, huh?

Macie looks very chill, there, mm. Oh, a dog's life.

MM - Macie is a splitting image of our dog. Not the best pic of her, but your pic could be of Peggy.

Fin - Glad MissFR like the turtle. She would have been thrilled with the snakes too (), but they were too fast, and I only had my iPhone to take pics.

Aw, Zimbo - she's gorgeous! How is she feeling these days? Recovering nicely I hope?

MM - she's much better thanks. It was a very slow recovery, typical for a senior as the vet says. She's not quite back to her old self, but getting there. She managed a 3 mile hike today, but was beat afterwards. Didn't help that is was in the 90's too. Is Macie pure golden? Peggy has a pure golden mom and a jet-black border collie dad.
