I only just learned that - and I think it was because someone else asked and got an explanation. Don't know why I don't ask these questions sooner -

jk - the embarrassing part for me was I kept reading the directions and not understanding them. What I kept getting hung up on was the very last part where you hit "post reply" or whatever that button on the bottom left was. I'd never used that button only the "quick reply" button so couldn't figure out what wasn't working....LOL...

It's a neverending project. My husband has been on a major home improvement kick lately, and I am along for the ride. I posted that status as a joke a while back because I went to Home Depot three or four times in one day. I have not changed it because 1) I am lazy that way, 2) on any given Saturday or Sunday it's probably true, and 3) see #1.

My sister and her son are coming to visit tomorrow and will be here through Monday, so I will be scarce. I do receive e-mail alerts from reported posts, as well as direct messages, and I get e-mail on my phone, which I usually have with me, and wow this is a lot of commas. So if any of you need me, send me a DM or report a post.

So here are a couple of pictures of the new floor. The one with the fireplace - that's what DH and DS did a few weeks ago. Trim still needs to be put on the bottom. The fireplace was white tiles before.

Thanks for the "post reply" tip! I never thought to do it that way!

I would hit the multiquote buttons and then I'll hit the quote button next to a post. I end up with an extra quote I'd have to delete.

Coop! Love your new floor! Your fireplace is beautiful! What a difference from plain tile! It looks like stone now!

Ok. You guys are making me feel really good about myself right now. I am an oddball though. I don't know why, but when I join a new site or get new software, I play around with it a lot until I learn all of the tricks.

That's very nice, coop. I like that sideboard-buffet thingo in your entry. What is that row of small panels above the drawers and cupboards? It seems to match the fireplace brick.

Oooh! I like it....I also like the sideboard-buffet thingy! I like the dark wood for the floors. Ours are that typical lightish oak since we were just adding to existing hardwood....I like the darker better. So pretty with the wallcolor also.....
