I have one friend that both of us said "I'll go if you go" but neither of us are going.

Zim - isn't your reunion abroad? It's worth it just for the trip. I have no desire to revisit anyone from my high school days whatsoever. I could not get out of there, and the town I lived in, fast enough.

So I slipped in my front yard - which is a pretty serious slope - on the wet grass, (retrieving a ball of yarn - ) and I gashed my left hand up on the flowerbed border, of all things. Hurt my pride pretty good too, as I fell right on my arse. With a big Plonk.

Luckily none of the neighbors were out.

Ouch Fin, I hope you are okay? Those falls that damage the pride and the arse are the absolute worst.

Yes my reunion is in Cape Town, South Africa....and.....I am going on my own....for 3 weeks. I have rounded up the pals, and we are going to have a little bit of fun methinks! I can't wait.

I am losing major DIL points though as the witch knows I am coming, and as she lives in a different city (in South Africa) has decided (yes, decided, never asks) to come and stay with me while I am there. I have put both my feet down, and said not only NO, but HELL NO! I don't really care, this is one of the very few occasions when it's all about me, moi, Zim!

Thank rkb - it made me wonder how kids can fall like that and not blink an eye. Not fair.

Zim - make sure you let us know when you are going. As we all will worry if we don't hear from you for 3 weeks.

Hope everyone has a good weekend! Fin - glad you are okay. Kids are like Gumby's. They can fall and not get hurt - well, unless they try and go over a chair and break their pelvis. That's just a stupid teen.

Coop - I will be sure to let you know beforehand. By the way, how is your young chair gymnast doing?

I almost tried to hurdle a shopping cart at walmart the other night.
(I get really bored at walmart) and then had a flashback to 10th grade track when I always caught my legs and face planted over the hurdle.

I have bruised internal organs and everything.

Yay. We got an apartment today. It is higher priced than others in the area, but it is nicer, safer, and has better amenities. We are happy and are signing the lease tomorrow. Unfortunately, we can't get electricity until at least Wednesday and gas until July 14. So, we can't use our oven or stove for awhile. It's OK. Once it gets electricity we can use the microwave and crockpot.
