Happy 4th all....

Hey Ewag, have you ever gone to the party on the Ben Franklin parkway? We're thinking of taking MissFR, she loves street festivals. Just the daytime bit, not the concert bit.

I was wondering about parking and stuff.

Happy 4th! I am torn after checking the forecast. There is a 40% chance of thunderstorms later, which would put a damper on festivities and fireworks. But, after several neighbors put on their own displays last night, my dogs went nuts. I am not looking forward to another evening of panting and pacing pups.

On the other hand, they don't handle thunder too great either....

I know, it's really hard to plan anything. Mattie, have you ever been to Matilda's? We were going to go there, but with iffy weather I think we'll need a Plan B.

Hey FR - Wish I could help - we haven't ever made it to that party. Hope Miss FR has a great time

Happy 4th one and all!

We had the monsoon roll in last night. High winds, blowing dust, heavy rain, thunder and lightning. Very blessed to get the rain.

We are going to make sure our dogs and cats are securely inside the house. Fireworks are illegal here but that doesn't stop people from setting them off. There are always so many lost pets the day after the 4th, and one of our dogs is an escape artist.

neighbors were setting off illegal stuff until about midnight last night. We walked over to the local parade this am. We'll walk back for fireworks tonight. I love that we live close enough to the festivities to walk.

It's dreafully hot and hazy today, not sure if we will even see fireworks through the haze tonight.

Feeling much better, but still taking it easy because there's still dull pain and tenderness. I can't take the pain medication again. After I posted yesterday, I became very sick---nausea, dizzy, sweating and feeling like I would pass out. I barely made it back to bed in time! The only way to take the medication is to stay in bed and not move! LOL But it was worth it because it forced me to give my body an entire day of rest.

Have a great 4th of July everyone!!!!
