Only to a point. Once they hit middle school, they don't care who they go home with, and half the time it's April before they bother to do anything about the fact that you've told them 15 times you're not getting the Robo-call updates.

Wow, I'm jealous! It seems like I need to feel out paperwork for just about everything at DD's middle school. In a way it's nice, but does my 13 year old really need a permission slip to walk to a friends house after school?!

We are all a bit sunburned this morning, especially moi, the most melanin deficient of them all.

Here is a funny kidism from yesterday:

ME: "Son, did you see the manatee that just swam right next to you?"
DS: "Oh cool! I thought it was just a shark!"

Zim - that's classic. That child needs to be a marine biologist or something since he seems to have no fear of anything in the water!
