Ohh MM I hope for a speedy recovery and it is not severe.

Where the hell do people dine out that they see kids doing Linda Blair impersonations with such frequency? In my close to 50 years on the planet, I can only clearly recall one negative kid incident in a nicer restaurant (and thankfully it wasn't one of mine).

AHHHH Zimbo you just reminded me of a childhood incident! When I was 5 years old and my sister 3, my mother took us shopping and afterwards stopped at a Pizza place. She order a slice for herself and one for us girls which was sliced down the middle. Now if you are familiar with NYC pizza you know that if you fold the pizza it makes a perfect point. Well my mom fold hers and it made the perfect point. I fold mine and it made the perfect point. My sister on the other hand went floppy. Cue the music from The Excorcism. My sister flipped, threw a tantrum worthy of why kids should not be allowed in restaurants. It was sooo bad that no matter how my mother tried to apease it and try to get us out of the place it wasn't happening. The pizza owner knew my mom and came over handing my sister a free rainbow italian ice. She shrieked NOOOOOO and threw it at him. My mom looked as though she could die. The owner help my mom by getting the rest of our food to go and he gave her a free slice because he felt awful.

That day my sisters bum was red, red, red! For many years after that the owner joked with my mom that she gave birth to a hellcat!

BTW still to this day my sister will not eat a slice of pizza unless it makes a perfect point!

That's a funny story MrsX.

When we were kids my parents were always somewhat selective about restaurants as my mom is a vegetarian. She never ate meat, fish, or chicken from when she was weaned. She can taste if a bacon-bit has even looked at her food. So we tended to go to places where her wishes were respectfully accommodated. This was no mean feat in the back of beyond, darkest Africa. Anyway, as there were slim pickings in restaurant choices, we were encouraged to behave.
