Num - LOL! You made me spit out a little tea.

Dew - I don't know Jack, but was he good?

MM - yes, I always meet up with one of those women when I'm looking my absolute worst. Ribs sound good.

I'm off to Glee with a posse of little girls, who are sure to squeal and squee and rupture some poor souls eardrums (with any luck! ).

The viney stuff is bind weed.

I even did the pre-emergent to prevent crab grass and still have it. Glad I'm not the only one.

If I watered the grass enough to hit the brown spots, I'd have a swamp in other places and the water bill would be sky high. I've really had it so next spring the majority of it, except for a small "island" in the middle, will be out.

Make those girls behave and be quiet now! Have fun. You are a brave lady.

Yes, bindweed. That's it. I would love to redo our whole front yard - I don't see it happening for at least another year though - most likely 2. Too many other things on the list. We do have that one area between the two driveways which will need to be done in some fashion before that.

I think I still have Mattie on the brain. Every time one of you mentions "weeding" I see "wedding." And you all seem to weed a lot more than I do!

What is with all of you weeding? If I weeded, I wouldn't have anything green left in my yard. At least now (from afar) it looks like I have grass.

btw... I have always wondered who it was that got to go around and point at things and decide "flower", "weed", "grass", "weed". Who was so special that we now have to follow those rules?

when we moved here, the house had been vacant for months. We couldn't tell what was a weed and what was supposed to be there. To this day we have, what I think is a weed, thriving in our front yard. I even transplanted some to another area.

Yay!!! I am not the only one. Weeds grow so great. Why kill them off? I am embracing them as the only thing I won't kill with my black thumb. I am horrible with plants. I got bushes that were supposed to be almost impossible to kill. They were dead in under a week. I swear I can kill an artificial plant.
