The one consolation to spending so much quality time in the basement today was that I found DD's missing American Girl Doll. The down-side was I think she was hiding out down there intentionally as someone had given her an awful haircut! It's really hard to find a good stylist these days.

Yeah. Nothing says Family Time like a tornado watch.

I have a consumer warning: I had a bag of P.F. Chang's frozen orange chicken dinner in the freezer in case of a "nothing to eat" emergency. Tonight was the night.

Awful. Thankfully DH was trained as a child to eat anything put in front of him so he cleaned his plate without even giving me the "you have to be kidding with this" look.

What an active evening! I'm glad everyone is okay!

Kibbie - sigh.... I so know what you are going through but you are almost there. You stories are making me giggle though. We have a hard time keeping things even visiting family. Even my DH likes my side of the family better. And there is a lot more of my side anyway.

Dew - I will remember not to put any PF Changs in the new freezer for emergency nights! We do have some pizzas in there now. Friday night when DS had friends over, I got pizzas from Papa Murphy's - large pizzas. Well, their definition of large is NOT mine. We were so annoyed. For what I paid each for 2 "large" pizzas I could get three Digorno's at Sam's for the same price.

Everyone is crabby here. I think DH is dreading the trip this week and being grouchy to everyone.....

I know at the end of the day, most of my complaints are small potatoes (that's an expression, right?), but man I'm annoyed! That's probably why I'm up at 4 am writing this. Back to school today, so she'll have less time to corrupt the kids.

After being on a bit of a health food kick for the last few months, I bought some frozen meals at Costco last time I was there. With 3 soccer practices/week, it is really nice to have something quick. We used to do you-bake pizza once/week too, but since Little Caesar's opened on the corner with $5 pizzas, we've switched to that.

Ugh. Kids these days!

Zim and Mattie - Glad you're both ok - sorry about your garden, Zim!

First day of preschool today - wish us luck. DS woke up an hour and a half early this morning, which was not an auspicious start to the day.

Hope everyone's weather is straightening out. Happy Monday!

Good Morning Chickas! How is everyone this morning?

Ewag - thanks. To be honest I'm a bit embarassed to have mentioned my garden looking at all the damage reported this morning. Good luck to LSEwag this morning.

Coop - I hope everything is looking up in your casa today?

I love this particular version of this song. I find Mary J's story quite inspiring, she has had such a tough life. She dropped out of high school before graduating, but last year took her GED, and is entering her second year at Howard University. How cool is that?
